Više od dva milijuna muslimana ušlo je u srijedu u završnu fazu hadža, posjetivši Veliku džamiju u Meki i kamenujući još jednom kamene blokove koji simboliziraju vraga.
Trećeg dana hodočašća muslimanski vjernici u drevnom ritualu kamenuju blokove smještene na mostu Džamaratu u dolini Mene, koji je bio poprište brojnih stampeda proteklih godina, uključujući i onaj 2006. kada je živote izgubilo 362 ljudi.
Hadž je u prošlosti često bio obilježen i požarima, urušavanjima hotela i sukobima policije s prosvjednicima. Jača sigurnost, bolja kontrola mase i poboljšanje infrastrukture ove su godine dali ploda pa značajniji izgredi nisu zabilježeni.
Saudijska Arabija je pokraj mosta izgradila masivnu, četverokatnu zgradu s nekoliko platforma s kojih je sada moguće bacati kamenje na tri kamena zida, kako bi se izbjegla stampeda i pogibije. Vlasti su također pozvale vjernike da kamenje bacaju u bilo koje doba dana, a ne kao dosad isključivo popodne.
Najmanje 2,4 milijuna muslimana ove je godine došlo na hadž, od čega 1.7 milijuna iz inozemstva, objavili su saudijski mediji.
Hadž je jedan od pet stupova islama koji svaki musliman, prema Kuranu, treba obaviti barem jednom u životu, ako mu to dopuštaju mogućnosti. U toj, jednoj od najvećih vjerskih manifestacija na svijetu, vjernici slijede put proroka Muhameda prije 14 stoljeća nakon što je porazio poganske snage u Meki.

Više od dva milijuna muslimana ušlo je u srijedu u završnu fazu hadža, posjetivši Veliku džamiju u Meki i kamenujući još jednom kamene blokove koji simboliziraju vraga.
Trećeg dana hodočašća muslimanski vjernici u drevnom ritualu kamenuju blokove smještene na mostu Džamaratu u dolini Mene, koji je bio poprište brojnih stampeda proteklih godina, uključujući i onaj 2006. kada je živote izgubilo 362 ljudi.
Hadž je u prošlosti često bio obilježen i požarima, urušavanjima hotela i sukobima policije s prosvjednicima. Jača sigurnost, bolja kontrola mase i poboljšanje infrastrukture ove su godine dali ploda pa značajniji izgredi nisu zabilježeni.
Saudijska Arabija je pokraj mosta izgradila masivnu, četverokatnu zgradu s nekoliko platforma s kojih je sada moguće bacati kamenje na tri kamena zida, kako bi se izbjegla stampeda i pogibije. Vlasti su također pozvale vjernike da kamenje bacaju u bilo koje doba dana, a ne kao dosad isključivo popodne.
Najmanje 2,4 milijuna muslimana ove je godine došlo na hadž, od čega 1.7 milijuna iz inozemstva, objavili su saudijski mediji.
Hadž je jedan od pet stupova islama koji svaki musliman, prema Kuranu, treba obaviti barem jednom u životu, ako mu to dopuštaju mogućnosti. U toj, jednoj od najvećih vjerskih manifestacija na svijetu, vjernici slijede put proroka Muhameda prije 14 stoljeća nakon što je porazio poganske snage u Meki.
