Cjepivo protiv covida-19 moglo bi postati dostupno najranjivijim skupinama ljudi do ožujka 2021. i zajedno s ostalim napretkom iz temelja promijeniti tijek pandemije, rekao je u ponedjeljak visoki dužnosnik Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO).

Bruce Aylward izjavio je na godišnjem ministarskom sastanku WHO-a da su privremeni rezultati zadnje faze Pfizerovog ispitivanja cjepiva "vrlo pozitivni".

"Još uvijek ima puno posla, ovo su samo privremeni rezultati... ali vrlo pozitivni rezultati koji su danas došli, koji bi, nadajmo se, mogli biti vrlo obećavajući za cijeli svijet", rekao je Aylward.

"U rezultatu izvanrednog rada koji se odvija globalno, do ožujka bismo mogli biti u prilici da temeljito promijenimo smjer i dinamiku ove krize", dodao je.

Cjepivo Pfizera i BioNTecha prekretnica u borbi protiv covida-19

Eksperimentalno cjepivo protiv koronavirusa američkog farmakološkog diva Pfizera i njemačke tvrtke BioNTech ima 90-postotnu učinkovitost u sprječavanju covida-19, objavile su dvije kompanije u ponedjeljak, što je golema prekretnica u obrani od pandemije koja ubrzava s preko 50 milijuna slučajeva zaraženih i 1,2 millijuna mrtvih.

Čelnik WHO-a Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus također je pozdravio "ohrabrujuće vijesti o cjepivu" u tvitu.

Kandidat za cjepivo Pfizera i BioNTecha nije među prvotnih devet cjepiva koja su činila dio postrojenja "COVAX", koje vodi WHO u svrhu financiranja i pravedne raspodjele cjepiva diljem svijeta.

Međutim, te dvije kompanije su izrazile interes za opskrbu tog programa. WHO je rekao da je više cjepiva u razmatranju.

Pfizer i BioNTech sada žele aplicirati za hitno odobrenje cjepiva u SAD-u, što je u nadležnosti tamošnje Agencije za lijekove i hranu (FDA), vjerojatno ovoga mjeseca, što znači da bi odluka mogla biti donesena u prosincu.

Potencijalno cjepivo dosad je ispitano na više od 43.000 sudionika različitih statusa, od kojih je 38.955 primilo drugu dozu 8. studenoga. Cjepivo postaje učinkovito sedam dana nakon druge doze. 

Na temelju predviđanja, dvije tvrtke bi do kraja godine mogle isporučiti do 50 milijuna doza cjepiva u svijetu te do 1,3 milijarde doza u 2021.

Europska medicinska agencija, regulatorno tijelo EU-a, pokrenula je ubrzanu proceduru glede odobrenja za kandidatsko cjepivo BioNTech/Pfizer, kao i za cjepivo koje razvijaju AstraZeneca i Sveučilište Oxford.

I Rusi su se oglasili o učinkovitosti svog cjepiva

Rusko cjepivo Sputnjik V više je od 90 posto učinkovito, izjavila je u ponedjeljak ravnateljica istraživačkog instituta pri ministarstvu zdravstva, pozivajući se na podatke prikupljene o cijepljenim građanima a ne iz ispitivanja cjepiva koje je još u tijeku.

"Mi smo odgovorni za praćenje učinkovitosti cjepiva Sputnjik V među građanima koji su ga primili u sklopu programa masovnog cijepljenja", rekla je Oksana Drapkina, ravnateljica istraživačkog instituta pri ministarstvu zdravstva.

"Na temelju naših zapažanja, ono je također učinkovito više od 90 posto. Pojava još jednog učinkovitog cjepiva dobra je vijest za sve", istaknula je Drapkina.

Aylward smatra da se pandemija može obuzdati

Aylward je iznio optimističnu ocjenu sveukupnih izgleda za obuzdavanje pandemije.

"U dijagnostici smo u mogućnosti masovno proširiti testiranja na globalnoj razini, u terapiji sada imamo dovoljno alata da značajno smanjimo rizik od umiranja od ove bolesti, a u području cjepiva - posebice nakon današnje vijesti - blizu smo toga da budemo spremni uvesti doze za visokorizičnu populaciju krajem prvog tromjesečja, početkom drugog tromjesečja (sljedeće godine)."

Međutim, on je upozorio da bi "akutni jaz u financiranju" od 4,5 milijardi dolara mogao usporiti dostupnost testova, lijekova i cjepiva u zemljama s niskim i srednjim prihodima.

Cjepivo protiv covida-19 moglo bi postati dostupno najranjivijim skupinama ljudi do ožujka 2021. i zajedno s ostalim napretkom iz temelja promijeniti tijek pandemije, rekao je u ponedjeljak visoki dužnosnik Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO).

Bruce Aylward izjavio je na godišnjem ministarskom sastanku WHO-a da su privremeni rezultati zadnje faze Pfizerovog ispitivanja cjepiva "vrlo pozitivni".

"Još uvijek ima puno posla, ovo su samo privremeni rezultati... ali vrlo pozitivni rezultati koji su danas došli, koji bi, nadajmo se, mogli biti vrlo obećavajući za cijeli svijet", rekao je Aylward.

"U rezultatu izvanrednog rada koji se odvija globalno, do ožujka bismo mogli biti u prilici da temeljito promijenimo smjer i dinamiku ove krize", dodao je.

Cjepivo Pfizera i BioNTecha prekretnica u borbi protiv covida-19

Eksperimentalno cjepivo protiv koronavirusa američkog farmakološkog diva Pfizera i njemačke tvrtke BioNTech ima 90-postotnu učinkovitost u sprječavanju covida-19, objavile su dvije kompanije u ponedjeljak, što je golema prekretnica u obrani od pandemije koja ubrzava s preko 50 milijuna slučajeva zaraženih i 1,2 millijuna mrtvih.

Čelnik WHO-a Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus također je pozdravio "ohrabrujuće vijesti o cjepivu" u tvitu.

Kandidat za cjepivo Pfizera i BioNTecha nije među prvotnih devet cjepiva koja su činila dio postrojenja "COVAX", koje vodi WHO u svrhu financiranja i pravedne raspodjele cjepiva diljem svijeta.

Međutim, te dvije kompanije su izrazile interes za opskrbu tog programa. WHO je rekao da je više cjepiva u razmatranju.

Pfizer i BioNTech sada žele aplicirati za hitno odobrenje cjepiva u SAD-u, što je u nadležnosti tamošnje Agencije za lijekove i hranu (FDA), vjerojatno ovoga mjeseca, što znači da bi odluka mogla biti donesena u prosincu.

Potencijalno cjepivo dosad je ispitano na više od 43.000 sudionika različitih statusa, od kojih je 38.955 primilo drugu dozu 8. studenoga. Cjepivo postaje učinkovito sedam dana nakon druge doze. 

Na temelju predviđanja, dvije tvrtke bi do kraja godine mogle isporučiti do 50 milijuna doza cjepiva u svijetu te do 1,3 milijarde doza u 2021.

Europska medicinska agencija, regulatorno tijelo EU-a, pokrenula je ubrzanu proceduru glede odobrenja za kandidatsko cjepivo BioNTech/Pfizer, kao i za cjepivo koje razvijaju AstraZeneca i Sveučilište Oxford.

I Rusi su se oglasili o učinkovitosti svog cjepiva

Rusko cjepivo Sputnjik V više je od 90 posto učinkovito, izjavila je u ponedjeljak ravnateljica istraživačkog instituta pri ministarstvu zdravstva, pozivajući se na podatke prikupljene o cijepljenim građanima a ne iz ispitivanja cjepiva koje je još u tijeku.

"Mi smo odgovorni za praćenje učinkovitosti cjepiva Sputnjik V među građanima koji su ga primili u sklopu programa masovnog cijepljenja", rekla je Oksana Drapkina, ravnateljica istraživačkog instituta pri ministarstvu zdravstva.

"Na temelju naših zapažanja, ono je također učinkovito više od 90 posto. Pojava još jednog učinkovitog cjepiva dobra je vijest za sve", istaknula je Drapkina.

Aylward smatra da se pandemija može obuzdati

Aylward je iznio optimističnu ocjenu sveukupnih izgleda za obuzdavanje pandemije.

"U dijagnostici smo u mogućnosti masovno proširiti testiranja na globalnoj razini, u terapiji sada imamo dovoljno alata da značajno smanjimo rizik od umiranja od ove bolesti, a u području cjepiva - posebice nakon današnje vijesti - blizu smo toga da budemo spremni uvesti doze za visokorizičnu populaciju krajem prvog tromjesečja, početkom drugog tromjesečja (sljedeće godine)."

Međutim, on je upozorio da bi "akutni jaz u financiranju" od 4,5 milijardi dolara mogao usporiti dostupnost testova, lijekova i cjepiva u zemljama s niskim i srednjim prihodima.

Cjepivo protiv covida-19 moglo bi postati dostupno najranjivijim skupinama ljudi do ožujka 2021. i zajedno s ostalim napretkom iz temelja promijeniti tijek pandemije, rekao je u ponedjeljak visoki dužnosnik Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO).

Bruce Aylward izjavio je na godišnjem ministarskom sastanku WHO-a da su privremeni rezultati zadnje faze Pfizerovog ispitivanja cjepiva "vrlo pozitivni".

"Još uvijek ima puno posla, ovo su samo privremeni rezultati... ali vrlo pozitivni rezultati koji su danas došli, koji bi, nadajmo se, mogli biti vrlo obećavajući za cijeli svijet", rekao je Aylward.

"U rezultatu izvanrednog rada koji se odvija globalno, do ožujka bismo mogli biti u prilici da temeljito promijenimo smjer i dinamiku ove krize", dodao je.
