Od početka svibnja u Europi i Sjevernoj Americi bilježi se sve veći broj slučajeva zaraze virusom majmunskih boginja. Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo objavio je da kod nas zasad nije evidentiran nijedan slučaj.

U programu HTV-a gostovala je ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti "Dr. Fran Mihaljević", profesorica Alemka Markotić i pojasnila o kakvoj se bolesti radi.

- To je virusna bolest, radi se o DNK virusima, sjedište je na neki način u Africi. Prva pojava bila je 70-tih godina. Zovu se majmunske boginje, međutim, smatra se da majmuni kao i ljudi nisu glavni rezervoari već da su slučajni domaćini. Najčešće se tu radi o malim, sitnim glodavcima, uključujući miševe, štakore i vjeverice te brojne primate, pojasnila je Markotić dodajući da postoji mogućnost prijenosa s čovjeka na čovjeka, sa životinje na čovjeka, ali i s čovjeka na životinju.

Što se tiče simptoma, prof. Markotić kaže da bolest počinje visokom temperaturom, kao i većina drugih zaraznih bolesti, općim lošim stanjem, iscrpljenošću, jakom glavoboljom.

- To je uobičajeno za brojne bolesti, ali već trećeg ili četvrtog dana se pojavi osip, prvo na mjestu inicijalnog ulaza, a onda se dalje širi od lica, ekstremiteta, trupa, a na kraju po dlanovima i tabanima. Sami simptomi sliče velikim boginjama, na sreću, velikih boginja u cirkulaciji nema. Ta je bolest cijepljenjem u potpunosti iskorijenjena. Kod majmunskih boginja također imamo jako otečene limfne čvorove, pojašnjava.

Na pitanje tko obolijeva od majmunskih boginja, Markotić kaže da obolijevaju sve kategorije ljudi.

- Možemo reći da sada u ovoj pojavi nekakve epidemije u Europi, to su uglavnom muškarci koji su imali odnose s muškarcima. Dalje se bolest može širiti na ostale skupine. Osobito su osjetljivi imunokompromitirani ljudi, trudnice i mala djeca. Oni su pod najvećom opasnošću. Ova bolest je puno lakša nego velike boginje. Smrtnost je negdje do 10 ili 11%. Opet više u osjetljivim populacijama.

Markotić odgovarajući na pitanje obolijevaju li samo muškarci, kaže da je to teško reći, ali da je zabilježeno da se majmunske boginje najviše pojavljuju kod muškaraca koji su imali odnose s muškarcima i to u zajednicama koje su promiskuitetne.

- Osobe koje imaju stalne partnere na neki način ne moraju brinuti, ako ta osoba nije bila izložena virusu. Mijenjanje partnera, može pogodovati razvoju bolesti.

Dodaje da svaka virusna bolest, pa i majmunske boginje, može biti asimptomatska.

- Ljudi su infektivni kada se pojave simptomi bolesti, međutim, pretpostavlja se da pred kraj inkubacije, mogu također postati infektivni. Inkubacija je od šest do otprilike 12 dana, a može trajati i do tri tjedna.

Ističe da je opasna bolest, koja ima potencijal širenja.

- Svi znamo koji se bavimo ovim poslom, a vidjeli smo to u zadnje dvije godine, da su virusi ćudljivi, da mogu promijeniti taktiku. Sjetite se samo virusa Zika koji je godinama bio blaga bolest u Africi pa je širenjem u druga područja napravio značajnije probleme, rekla je prof. Markotić za HTV.

Od početka svibnja u Europi i Sjevernoj Americi bilježi se sve veći broj slučajeva zaraze virusom majmunskih boginja. Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo objavio je da kod nas zasad nije evidentiran nijedan slučaj.

U programu HTV-a gostovala je ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti "Dr. Fran Mihaljević", profesorica Alemka Markotić i pojasnila o kakvoj se bolesti radi.

- To je virusna bolest, radi se o DNK virusima, sjedište je na neki način u Africi. Prva pojava bila je 70-tih godina. Zovu se majmunske boginje, međutim, smatra se da majmuni kao i ljudi nisu glavni rezervoari već da su slučajni domaćini. Najčešće se tu radi o malim, sitnim glodavcima, uključujući miševe, štakore i vjeverice te brojne primate, pojasnila je Markotić dodajući da postoji mogućnost prijenosa s čovjeka na čovjeka, sa životinje na čovjeka, ali i s čovjeka na životinju.

Što se tiče simptoma, prof. Markotić kaže da bolest počinje visokom temperaturom, kao i većina drugih zaraznih bolesti, općim lošim stanjem, iscrpljenošću, jakom glavoboljom.

- To je uobičajeno za brojne bolesti, ali već trećeg ili četvrtog dana se pojavi osip, prvo na mjestu inicijalnog ulaza, a onda se dalje širi od lica, ekstremiteta, trupa, a na kraju po dlanovima i tabanima. Sami simptomi sliče velikim boginjama, na sreću, velikih boginja u cirkulaciji nema. Ta je bolest cijepljenjem u potpunosti iskorijenjena. Kod majmunskih boginja također imamo jako otečene limfne čvorove, pojašnjava.

Na pitanje tko obolijeva od majmunskih boginja, Markotić kaže da obolijevaju sve kategorije ljudi.

- Možemo reći da sada u ovoj pojavi nekakve epidemije u Europi, to su uglavnom muškarci koji su imali odnose s muškarcima. Dalje se bolest može širiti na ostale skupine. Osobito su osjetljivi imunokompromitirani ljudi, trudnice i mala djeca. Oni su pod najvećom opasnošću. Ova bolest je puno lakša nego velike boginje. Smrtnost je negdje do 10 ili 11%. Opet više u osjetljivim populacijama.

Markotić odgovarajući na pitanje obolijevaju li samo muškarci, kaže da je to teško reći, ali da je zabilježeno da se majmunske boginje najviše pojavljuju kod muškaraca koji su imali odnose s muškarcima i to u zajednicama koje su promiskuitetne.

- Osobe koje imaju stalne partnere na neki način ne moraju brinuti, ako ta osoba nije bila izložena virusu. Mijenjanje partnera, može pogodovati razvoju bolesti.

Dodaje da svaka virusna bolest, pa i majmunske boginje, može biti asimptomatska.

- Ljudi su infektivni kada se pojave simptomi bolesti, međutim, pretpostavlja se da pred kraj inkubacije, mogu također postati infektivni. Inkubacija je od šest do otprilike 12 dana, a može trajati i do tri tjedna.

Ističe da je opasna bolest, koja ima potencijal širenja.

Alemka Markotić: Majmunske boginje se najviše javljaju kod muškaraca koji su imali odnose s drugim muškarcima, u promiskuitetnim zajednicama

Od početka svibnja u Europi i Sjevernoj Americi bilježi se sve veći broj slučajeva zaraze virusom majmunskih boginja. Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo objavio je da kod nas zasad nije evidentiran nijedan slučaj.

U programu HTV-a gostovala je ravnateljica Klinike za infektivne bolesti "Dr. Fran Mihaljević", profesorica Alemka Markotić i pojasnila o kakvoj se bolesti radi.

- To je virusna bolest, radi se o DNK virusima, sjedište je na neki način u Africi. Prva pojava bila je 70-tih godina. Zovu se majmunske boginje, međutim, smatra se da majmuni kao i ljudi nisu glavni rezervoari već da su slučajni domaćini. Najčešće se tu radi o malim, sitnim glodavcima, uključujući miševe, štakore i vjeverice te brojne primate, pojasnila je Markotić dodajući da postoji mogućnost prijenosa s čovjeka na čovjeka, sa životinje na čovjeka, ali i s čovjeka na životinju.

Što se tiče simptoma, prof. Markotić kaže da bolest počinje visokom temperaturom, kao i većina drugih zaraznih bolesti, općim lošim stanjem, iscrpljenošću, jakom glavoboljom.

- To je uobičajeno za brojne bolesti, ali već trećeg ili četvrtog dana se pojavi osip, prvo na mjestu inicijalnog ulaza, a onda se dalje širi od lica, ekstremiteta, trupa, a na kraju po dlanovima i tabanima. Sami simptomi sliče velikim boginjama, na sreću, velikih boginja u cirkulaciji nema. Ta je bolest cijepljenjem u potpunosti iskorijenjena. Kod majmunskih boginja također imamo jako otečene limfne čvorove, pojašnjava.

Na pitanje tko obolijeva od majmunskih boginja, Markotić kaže da obolijevaju sve kategorije ljudi.

- Možemo reći da sada u ovoj pojavi nekakve epidemije u Europi, to su uglavnom muškarci koji su imali odnose s muškarcima. Dalje se bolest može širiti na ostale skupine. Osobito su osjetljivi imunokompromitirani ljudi, trudnice i mala djeca. Oni su pod najvećom opasnošću. Ova bolest je puno lakša nego velike boginje. Smrtnost je negdje do 10 ili 11%. Opet više u osjetljivim populacijama.

Markotić odgovarajući na pitanje obolijevaju li samo muškarci, kaže da je to teško reći, ali da je zabilježeno da se majmunske boginje najviše pojavljuju kod muškaraca koji su imali odnose s muškarcima i to u zajednicama koje su promiskuitetne.

- Osobe koje imaju stalne partnere na neki način ne moraju brinuti, ako ta osoba nije bila izložena virusu. Mijenjanje partnera, može pogodovati razvoju bolesti.

Dodaje da svaka virusna bolest, pa i majmunske boginje, može biti asimptomatska.

- Ljudi su infektivni kada se pojave simptomi bolesti, međutim, pretpostavlja se da pred kraj inkubacije, mogu također postati infektivni. Inkubacija je od šest do otprilike 12 dana, a može trajati i do tri tjedna.

Ističe da je opasna bolest, koja ima potencijal širenja.
