"Vjerujemo da će zaštita od koronavirusa našim cjepivom potencijalno potrajati godinama jer se pokazalo da kod cijepljenih antitijela padaju vrlo sporo." Ovu ohrabrujuću rečenicu izgovorio je izvršni direktor tvrtke Moderna, Stephan Bancel, čije je cjepivo netom registrirano u EU i tako podignuo optimizam i uvjerenje da su cjepiva korak do minimaliziranja opasnosti od korone u skoroj budućnosti.

I ne samo to, već je i Pfizer/BioNTech proveo laboratorijsko istraživanje koje je pokazalo da njihovo cjepivo djeluje i na mutacije kod visokozaraznih sojeva covida-19. Također, upravo objavljena studija istraživača s kalifornijskog Instituta za imunologiju La Jolla u časopisu Science dokazala je da imunitet onih koji su preboljeli koronu ne pada tako brzo kako se mislilo. Tvrdi se također da će cjepivo sigurno izazvati dugotrajniji imunitet, kako antitijelima tako i T stanicama.

"Dosadašnje studije pokazale su da su oni koji su preboljeli koronu zaštićeni barem šest do osam mjeseci. Što se tiče cjepiva, očekujem da će ono imati dugotrajniji učinak na imunitet jer virusi kad stignu u naš organizam imaju imuno subverzivne učinke odnosno ometaju rad imunološkog sustava. Preusmjeravaju njegovu učinkovitost odnosno njegove mehanizme obrane tako da je imunološki sustav često poremećen ne samo kod korone nego sve to na isti način djeluje i kod drugih virusa. Kod cjepiva to nije slučaj.

Naime, ova cjepiva protiv korone koriste cjeloviti S protein (spike). Imunološki sustav reagira na njegove pojedine segmente i to tako da neki segmenti izazovu odgovor antitijela a neki segmenti T limfocita odnosno staničnu imunost", objašnjava imunolog s Medicinskog fakulteta u Rijeci prof. dr. Bojan Polić razliku između imuniteta stečenog prebolijevanjem bolesti i onog dobivenog cijepljenjem.

Dodaje da je za očekivati da će ova nova cjepiva izazvati dobar stanični odgovor kao i onaj protutijela. Moguće da će imunitet nakon cijepljenja Moderninim cjepivom stvarno potrajati godinama jer kod prirodne infekcije često virusi zavaravaju imunološki sustav kako bi se mogli uspješno razmnožavati i imaju mehanizme za 'prevaru', ali kod cjepiva to nije slučaj jer nema infekcije i nema izbjegavanja imunološkog odgovor.

"Imunost nakon cijepljenja bit će dugotrajnija, ali i protektivna i prema virusima koji do neke mjere mutiraju. Naš je imunološki sustav je dosta robustan u tom odgovoru i na neki se način stvara puno klonova koji prepoznaju i mutacije virusa. Zapravo sam uvjeren da će nakon cijepljenja ostati dugotrajniji imunitet nego li se pretpostavljalo. Što se tiče onih koji su preboljeli koronu, tek ćemo vidjeti koliko će trajati njihov imunitet jer zasad je prekratko vrijeme praćenja", kaže prof. dr. Polić.

Netom objavljena studija na tu temu u suprotnosti je s onim prijašnjima po kojima bi imunitet za covid-19 mogao biti kratkotrajan. Tvrdi se da bi ponovna infekcija trebala biti problem samo za vrlo mali postotak ljudi. Zapravo, nova studija pokazuje da mali broj oporavljenih ljudi nema dugotrajan imunitet. No, cijepljenje bi trebalo nadoknaditi i taj problem osiguravanjem imuniteta stada kod većeg broja populacije.

U studiji se proučavalo uzorke krvi 185 muškaraca i žena koji su se oporavili od covida-19, a većina je imala blagu infekciju. Tim koji je vodio istraživanje mjerio je razinu antitijela i T stanica. Istraživači su otkrili da su se antitijela u tijelu umjereno smanjivala nakon osam mjeseci, iako su razine među pojedincima jako varirale. No, razina T-stanica smanjivala se vrlo malo. To znači da se unatoč smanjenju protutijela, komponente koje mogu ponovno pokrenuti proizvodnju antitijela i koordinirati napad na koronavirus zadržavaju na prilično visokim razinama.

"Vjerujemo da će zaštita od koronavirusa našim cjepivom potencijalno potrajati godinama jer se pokazalo da kod cijepljenih antitijela padaju vrlo sporo." Ovu ohrabrujuću rečenicu izgovorio je izvršni direktor tvrtke Moderna, Stephan Bancel, čije je cjepivo netom registrirano u EU i tako podignuo optimizam i uvjerenje da su cjepiva korak do minimaliziranja opasnosti od korone u skoroj budućnosti.

I ne samo to, već je i Pfizer/BioNTech proveo laboratorijsko istraživanje koje je pokazalo da njihovo cjepivo djeluje i na mutacije kod visokozaraznih sojeva covida-19. Također, upravo objavljena studija istraživača s kalifornijskog Instituta za imunologiju La Jolla u časopisu Science dokazala je da imunitet onih koji su preboljeli koronu ne pada tako brzo kako se mislilo. Tvrdi se također da će cjepivo sigurno izazvati dugotrajniji imunitet, kako antitijelima tako i T stanicama.

"Dosadašnje studije pokazale su da su oni koji su preboljeli koronu zaštićeni barem šest do osam mjeseci. Što se tiče cjepiva, očekujem da će ono imati dugotrajniji učinak na imunitet jer virusi kad stignu u naš organizam imaju imuno subverzivne učinke odnosno ometaju rad imunološkog sustava. Preusmjeravaju njegovu učinkovitost odnosno njegove mehanizme obrane tako da je imunološki sustav često poremećen ne samo kod korone nego sve to na isti način djeluje i kod drugih virusa. Kod cjepiva to nije slučaj.

Naime, ova cjepiva protiv korone koriste cjeloviti S protein (spike). Imunološki sustav reagira na njegove pojedine segmente i to tako da neki segmenti izazovu odgovor antitijela a neki segmenti T limfocita odnosno staničnu imunost", objašnjava imunolog s Medicinskog fakulteta u Rijeci prof. dr. Bojan Polić razliku između imuniteta stečenog prebolijevanjem bolesti i onog dobivenog cijepljenjem.

Dodaje da je za očekivati da će ova nova cjepiva izazvati dobar stanični odgovor kao i onaj protutijela. Moguće da će imunitet nakon cijepljenja Moderninim cjepivom stvarno potrajati godinama jer kod prirodne infekcije često virusi zavaravaju imunološki sustav kako bi se mogli uspješno razmnožavati i imaju mehanizme za 'prevaru', ali kod cjepiva to nije slučaj jer nema infekcije i nema izbjegavanja imunološkog odgovor.

"Imunost nakon cijepljenja bit će dugotrajnija, ali i protektivna i prema virusima koji do neke mjere mutiraju. Naš je imunološki sustav je dosta robustan u tom odgovoru i na neki se način stvara puno klonova koji prepoznaju i mutacije virusa. Zapravo sam uvjeren da će nakon cijepljenja ostati dugotrajniji imunitet nego li se pretpostavljalo. Što se tiče onih koji su preboljeli koronu, tek ćemo vidjeti koliko će trajati njihov imunitet jer zasad je prekratko vrijeme praćenja", kaže prof. dr. Polić.

Netom objavljena studija na tu temu u suprotnosti je s onim prijašnjima po kojima bi imunitet za covid-19 mogao biti kratkotrajan. Tvrdi se da bi ponovna infekcija trebala biti problem samo za vrlo mali postotak ljudi. Zapravo, nova studija pokazuje da mali broj oporavljenih ljudi nema dugotrajan imunitet. No, cijepljenje bi trebalo nadoknaditi i taj problem osiguravanjem imuniteta stada kod većeg broja populacije.

U studiji se proučavalo uzorke krvi 185 muškaraca i žena koji su se oporavili od covida-19, a većina je imala blagu infekciju. Tim koji je vodio istraživanje mjerio je razinu antitijela i T stanica. Istraživači su otkrili da su se antitijela u tijelu umjereno smanjivala nakon osam mjeseci, iako su razine među pojedincima jako varirale. No, razina T-stanica smanjivala se vrlo malo. To znači da se unatoč smanjenju protutijela, komponente koje mogu ponovno pokrenuti proizvodnju antitijela i koordinirati napad na koronavirus zadržavaju na prilično visokim razinama.

"Vjerujemo da će zaštita od koronavirusa našim cjepivom potencijalno potrajati godinama jer se pokazalo da kod cijepljenih antitijela padaju vrlo sporo." Ovu ohrabrujuću rečenicu izgovorio je izvršni direktor tvrtke Moderna, Stephan Bancel, čije je cjepivo netom registrirano u EU i tako podignuo optimizam i uvjerenje da su cjepiva korak do minimaliziranja opasnosti od korone u skoroj budućnosti.

I ne samo to, već je i Pfizer/BioNTech proveo laboratorijsko istraživanje koje je pokazalo da njihovo cjepivo djeluje i na mutacije kod visokozaraznih sojeva covida-19. Također, upravo objavljena studija istraživača s kalifornijskog Instituta za imunologiju La Jolla u časopisu Science dokazala je da imunitet onih koji su preboljeli koronu ne pada tako brzo kako se mislilo. Tvrdi se također da će cjepivo sigurno izazvati dugotrajniji imunitet, kako antitijelima tako i T stanicama.

"Dosadašnje studije pokazale su da su oni koji su preboljeli koronu zaštićeni barem šest do osam mjeseci. Što se tiče cjepiva, očekujem da će ono imati dugotrajniji učinak na imunitet jer virusi kad stignu u naš organizam imaju imuno subverzivne učinke odnosno ometaju rad imunološkog sustava. Preusmjeravaju njegovu učinkovitost odnosno njegove mehanizme obrane tako da je imunološki sustav često poremećen ne samo kod korone nego sve to na isti način djeluje i kod drugih virusa. Kod cjepiva to nije slučaj.

Naime, ova cjepiva protiv korone koriste cjeloviti S protein (spike). Imunološki sustav reagira na njegove pojedine segmente i to tako da neki segmenti izazovu odgovor antitijela a neki segmenti T limfocita odnosno staničnu imunost", objašnjava imunolog s Medicinskog fakulteta u Rijeci prof. dr. Bojan Polić razliku između imuniteta stečenog prebolijevanjem bolesti i onog dobivenog cijepljenjem.

Dodaje da je za očekivati da će ova nova cjepiva izazvati dobar stanični odgovor kao i onaj protutijela. Moguće da će imunitet nakon cijepljenja Moderninim cjepivom stvarno potrajati godinama jer kod prirodne infekcije često virusi zavaravaju imunološki sustav kako bi se mogli uspješno razmnožavati i imaju mehanizme za 'prevaru', ali kod cjepiva to nije slučaj jer nema infekcije i nema izbjegavanja imunološkog odgovor.

"Imunost nakon cijepljenja bit će dugotrajnija, ali i protektivna i prema virusima koji do neke mjere mutiraju. Naš je imunološki sustav je dosta robustan u tom odgovoru i na neki se način stvara puno klonova koji prepoznaju i mutacije virusa. Zapravo sam uvjeren da će nakon cijepljenja ostati dugotrajniji imunitet nego li se pretpostavljalo. Što se tiče onih koji su preboljeli koronu, tek ćemo vidjeti koliko će trajati njihov imunitet jer zasad je prekratko vrijeme praćenja", kaže prof. dr. Polić.

Netom objavljena studija na tu temu u suprotnosti je s onim prijašnjima po kojima bi imunitet za covid-19 mogao biti kratkotrajan. Tvrdi se da bi ponovna infekcija trebala biti problem samo za vrlo mali postotak ljudi. Zapravo, nova studija pokazuje da mali broj oporavljenih ljudi nema dugotrajan imunitet. No, cijepljenje bi trebalo nadoknaditi i taj problem osiguravanjem imuniteta stada kod većeg broja populacije.
