TikTok je kažnjen s 345 milijuna eura zbog kršenja zakona o privatnosti u vezi s obradom osobnih podataka djece u Europskoj uniji, priopćio je u petak vodeći regulator u Europskoj uniji.

Platforma za kratke videozapise u kineskom vlasništvu, čija je popularnost brzo rasla kod tinejdžera diljem svijeta, prekršila je niz zakona EU-a o privatnosti između 31. srpnja 2020. i 31. prosinca 2020., objavila je priopćenjem irska Komisija za zaštitu podataka (DPC).

Ovo je prvi put da je DPC, vodeći regulator u EU za puno važnih globalnih tehnoloških tvrtki kaznio TikTok u vlasništvu ByteDancea.

Brojne globalne kompanije odabrale su Irsku za regionalno središte pa je DPC jedan od ključnih regulatora.

Glasnogovornik TikToka objavio je da se ne slaže s odlukom, posebice s visinom novčane kazne te da većina kritika više nije relevantna zbog mjera koje je TikTok uveo prije početka istrage DPC-a u rujnu 2021.

DPC navodi da je, između ostalog, TikTok račune korisnika mlađih od 16 godina 2020. godine, prema zadanim postavkama stavio na "javno" te da TikTok nije provjerio je li korisnik zapravo roditelj ili skrbnik djeteta u slučaju povezivanja računa.

TikTok je u studenom 2020. dodao strožu roditeljsku kontrolu obiteljskom uparivanju te je promijenio zadanu postavku za sve registrirane korisnike mlađe od 16 godina u "privatno" u siječnju 2021.

TikTok je u petak rekao da planira dodatno ažurirati svoje postavke o privatnosti kako bi razlike između javnih i privatnih računa bile jasnije te da će privatni račun biti unaprijed odabrana postavka za nove korisnike od 16 do 17 godina kada se kasnije registriraju za aplikaciju što će uvesti već ovaj mjesec.

DPC je dao TikToku rok od 3 mjeseca za usklađivanje pravila sukladno odluci.

TikTok je kažnjen s 345 milijuna eura zbog kršenja zakona o privatnosti u vezi s obradom osobnih podataka djece u Europskoj uniji, priopćio je u petak vodeći regulator u Europskoj uniji.

Platforma za kratke videozapise u kineskom vlasništvu, čija je popularnost brzo rasla kod tinejdžera diljem svijeta, prekršila je niz zakona EU-a o privatnosti između 31. srpnja 2020. i 31. prosinca 2020., objavila je priopćenjem irska Komisija za zaštitu podataka (DPC).

Ovo je prvi put da je DPC, vodeći regulator u EU za puno važnih globalnih tehnoloških tvrtki kaznio TikTok u vlasništvu ByteDancea.

Brojne globalne kompanije odabrale su Irsku za regionalno središte pa je DPC jedan od ključnih regulatora.

Glasnogovornik TikToka objavio je da se ne slaže s odlukom, posebice s visinom novčane kazne te da većina kritika više nije relevantna zbog mjera koje je TikTok uveo prije početka istrage DPC-a u rujnu 2021.

DPC navodi da je, između ostalog, TikTok račune korisnika mlađih od 16 godina 2020. godine, prema zadanim postavkama stavio na "javno" te da TikTok nije provjerio je li korisnik zapravo roditelj ili skrbnik djeteta u slučaju povezivanja računa.

TikTok je u studenom 2020. dodao strožu roditeljsku kontrolu obiteljskom uparivanju te je promijenio zadanu postavku za sve registrirane korisnike mlađe od 16 godina u "privatno" u siječnju 2021.

TikTok je u petak rekao da planira dodatno ažurirati svoje postavke o privatnosti kako bi razlike između javnih i privatnih računa bile jasnije te da će privatni račun biti unaprijed odabrana postavka za nove korisnike od 16 do 17 godina kada se kasnije registriraju za aplikaciju što će uvesti već ovaj mjesec.

DPC je dao TikToku rok od 3 mjeseca za usklađivanje pravila sukladno odluci.

TikTok je kažnjen s 345 milijuna eura zbog kršenja zakona o privatnosti u vezi s obradom osobnih podataka djece u Europskoj uniji, priopćio je u petak vodeći regulator u Europskoj uniji.

Platforma za kratke videozapise u kineskom vlasništvu, čija je popularnost brzo rasla kod tinejdžera diljem svijeta, prekršila je niz zakona EU-a o privatnosti između 31. srpnja 2020. i 31. prosinca 2020., objavila je priopćenjem irska Komisija za zaštitu podataka (DPC).

Ovo je prvi put da je DPC, vodeći regulator u EU za puno važnih globalnih tehnoloških tvrtki kaznio TikTok u vlasništvu ByteDancea.

Brojne globalne kompanije odabrale su Irsku za regionalno središte pa je DPC jedan od ključnih regulatora.

Glasnogovornik TikToka objavio je da se ne slaže s odlukom, posebice s visinom novčane kazne te da većina kritika više nije relevantna zbog mjera koje je TikTok uveo prije početka istrage DPC-a u rujnu 2021.

DPC navodi da je, između ostalog, TikTok račune korisnika mlađih od 16 godina 2020. godine, prema zadanim postavkama stavio na "javno" te da TikTok nije provjerio je li korisnik zapravo roditelj ili skrbnik djeteta u slučaju povezivanja računa.

TikTok je u studenom 2020. dodao strožu roditeljsku kontrolu obiteljskom uparivanju te je promijenio zadanu postavku za sve registrirane korisnike mlađe od 16 godina u "privatno" u siječnju 2021.

TikTok je u petak rekao da planira dodatno ažurirati svoje postavke o privatnosti kako bi razlike između javnih i privatnih računa bile jasnije te da će privatni račun biti unaprijed odabrana postavka za nove korisnike od 16 do 17 godina kada se kasnije registriraju za aplikaciju što će uvesti već ovaj mjesec.

DPC je dao TikToku rok od 3 mjeseca za usklađivanje pravila sukladno odluci.
