Interdisciplinarni tim hrvatskih znanstvenika odredio je sekvencu genoma virusa uzročnika covid-19 infekcije, što će omogućiti određivanje izvora zaraze i njeno praćenje u RH te doprinijeti svjetskim naporima u suzbijanju pandemije.

Priopćio je to u petak Institut Ruđer Bošković (IRB), ističući kako je riječ o zajedničkom istraživačkom uspjehu njihovih te znanstvenika riječkog Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, u borbi protiv virusa.

Taj uspjeh, ističu, potvrđuje da Hrvatska posjeduje i tehničke i ljudske resurse koji je svrstavaju uz bok drugim zemljama koje doprinose razumijevanju virusa SARS-CoV-2,

Prva detaljna analiza genoma tog virusa, uzročnika bolesti covid-19, provedena je u IRB-ovu Laboratoriju za naprednu genomiku, na čelu s voditeljom Oliverom Vugrekom.

U istraživanju su sudjelovali i Igor Jurak s Odjela za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci te Tomislav Rukavina i Neven Sučić s Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo u Rijeci.

Detaljno praćenje evolucije i prijenosa virusa bitno za razvoj cjepiva

Uspostavljanje platforme za analizu te određivanje genoma virusa, ističu u IRB-u, ima višestruki značaj jer će omogućiti detaljno praćenje evolucije virusa i putove prijenosa virusa, a što je od iznimnog značaja za razvoj novih lijekova i cjepiva u budućnosti.

Vugrek navodi kako je 'Ruđerov' laboratorij jedan od vodećih u Hrvatskoj za primjenu modernih tehnologija za analizu gena baziranom na masovnom paralelnom sekvenciranju.

Ističe da takav pristup, koji omogućava istovremenu analizu velikog broja gena, laboratorij već duži niz godina uspješno primjenjuje za određivanje genetskih uzročnika nasljednih bolesti i genetike raka, koja je sada prilagođena za određivanje genoma virusa.

Razvijen protokol za analizu uzročnika koronavirusa

Ovim rezultatima, kaže, razvijen je vlastiti protokol za analizu uzročnika bolesti covid-19, koji bi mogao biti široko primjenjiv i za analize drugih virusa.

Izvedbom protokola za sekvencioniranje, tvrde u IRB-u, generira se ogromna količina podataka koju je moguće analizirati samo uz pomoć sofisticiranih bioinformatičkih alata, pri čemu su skupljeni uzorci pacijenata te je provedena dijagnostička analiza.

''Povezivanje genetike virusa s epidemiološkim podacima omogućit će jasno određivanje izvora zaraze te praćenje širenja zaraze širom Hrvatske", naglašava Rukavina,

Vrlo važnim smatra razumijevanje putova ulaska virusa u Hrvatsku tijekom ove epidemije, ali i eventualnih budućih kako bi se moglo na vrijeme djelovati i prevenirati ih.

Interdisciplinarni tim hrvatskih znanstvenika odredio je sekvencu genoma virusa uzročnika covid-19 infekcije, što će omogućiti određivanje izvora zaraze i njeno praćenje u RH te doprinijeti svjetskim naporima u suzbijanju pandemije.

Priopćio je to u petak Institut Ruđer Bošković (IRB), ističući kako je riječ o zajedničkom istraživačkom uspjehu njihovih te znanstvenika riječkog Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, u borbi protiv virusa.

Taj uspjeh, ističu, potvrđuje da Hrvatska posjeduje i tehničke i ljudske resurse koji je svrstavaju uz bok drugim zemljama koje doprinose razumijevanju virusa SARS-CoV-2,

Prva detaljna analiza genoma tog virusa, uzročnika bolesti covid-19, provedena je u IRB-ovu Laboratoriju za naprednu genomiku, na čelu s voditeljom Oliverom Vugrekom.

U istraživanju su sudjelovali i Igor Jurak s Odjela za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci te Tomislav Rukavina i Neven Sučić s Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo u Rijeci.

Detaljno praćenje evolucije i prijenosa virusa bitno za razvoj cjepiva

Uspostavljanje platforme za analizu te određivanje genoma virusa, ističu u IRB-u, ima višestruki značaj jer će omogućiti detaljno praćenje evolucije virusa i putove prijenosa virusa, a što je od iznimnog značaja za razvoj novih lijekova i cjepiva u budućnosti.

Vugrek navodi kako je 'Ruđerov' laboratorij jedan od vodećih u Hrvatskoj za primjenu modernih tehnologija za analizu gena baziranom na masovnom paralelnom sekvenciranju.

Ističe da takav pristup, koji omogućava istovremenu analizu velikog broja gena, laboratorij već duži niz godina uspješno primjenjuje za određivanje genetskih uzročnika nasljednih bolesti i genetike raka, koja je sada prilagođena za određivanje genoma virusa.

Razvijen protokol za analizu uzročnika koronavirusa

Ovim rezultatima, kaže, razvijen je vlastiti protokol za analizu uzročnika bolesti covid-19, koji bi mogao biti široko primjenjiv i za analize drugih virusa.

Izvedbom protokola za sekvencioniranje, tvrde u IRB-u, generira se ogromna količina podataka koju je moguće analizirati samo uz pomoć sofisticiranih bioinformatičkih alata, pri čemu su skupljeni uzorci pacijenata te je provedena dijagnostička analiza.

''Povezivanje genetike virusa s epidemiološkim podacima omogućit će jasno određivanje izvora zaraze te praćenje širenja zaraze širom Hrvatske", naglašava Rukavina,

Vrlo važnim smatra razumijevanje putova ulaska virusa u Hrvatsku tijekom ove epidemije, ali i eventualnih budućih kako bi se moglo na vrijeme djelovati i prevenirati ih.

Hrvatski znanstvenici uspjeli sekvencionirati genom uzročnika Covida-19 koji su izolirali iz jednog hrvatskog pacijenata

Interdisciplinarni tim hrvatskih znanstvenika odredio je sekvencu genoma virusa uzročnika covid-19 infekcije, što će omogućiti određivanje izvora zaraze i njeno praćenje u RH te doprinijeti svjetskim naporima u suzbijanju pandemije.

Priopćio je to u petak Institut Ruđer Bošković (IRB), ističući kako je riječ o zajedničkom istraživačkom uspjehu njihovih te znanstvenika riječkog Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, u borbi protiv virusa.

Taj uspjeh, ističu, potvrđuje da Hrvatska posjeduje i tehničke i ljudske resurse koji je svrstavaju uz bok drugim zemljama koje doprinose razumijevanju virusa SARS-CoV-2,

Prva detaljna analiza genoma tog virusa, uzročnika bolesti covid-19, provedena je u IRB-ovu Laboratoriju za naprednu genomiku, na čelu s voditeljom Oliverom Vugrekom.

U istraživanju su sudjelovali i Igor Jurak s Odjela za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci te Tomislav Rukavina i Neven Sučić s Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo u Rijeci.

Detaljno praćenje evolucije i prijenosa virusa bitno za razvoj cjepiva

Uspostavljanje platforme za analizu te određivanje genoma virusa, ističu u IRB-u, ima višestruki značaj jer će omogućiti detaljno praćenje evolucije virusa i putove prijenosa virusa, a što je od iznimnog značaja za razvoj novih lijekova i cjepiva u budućnosti.

Vugrek navodi kako je 'Ruđerov' laboratorij jedan od vodećih u Hrvatskoj za primjenu modernih tehnologija za analizu gena baziranom na masovnom paralelnom sekvenciranju.

Ističe da takav pristup, koji omogućava istovremenu analizu velikog broja gena, laboratorij već duži niz godina uspješno primjenjuje za određivanje genetskih uzročnika nasljednih bolesti i genetike raka, koja je sada prilagođena za određivanje genoma virusa.

Razvijen protokol za analizu uzročnika koronavirusa

Ovim rezultatima, kaže, razvijen je vlastiti protokol za analizu uzročnika bolesti covid-19, koji bi mogao biti široko primjenjiv i za analize drugih virusa.

Izvedbom protokola za sekvencioniranje, tvrde u IRB-u, generira se ogromna količina podataka koju je moguće analizirati samo uz pomoć sofisticiranih bioinformatičkih alata, pri čemu su skupljeni uzorci pacijenata te je provedena dijagnostička analiza.

''Povezivanje genetike virusa s epidemiološkim podacima omogućit će jasno određivanje izvora zaraze te praćenje širenja zaraze širom Hrvatske", naglašava Rukavina,

Vrlo važnim smatra razumijevanje putova ulaska virusa u Hrvatsku tijekom ove epidemije, ali i eventualnih budućih kako bi se moglo na vrijeme djelovati i prevenirati ih.
