Vrlo zanimljiva rasprava zapodjela se jučer navečer u dvosatnoj emisiji "Izdvojeno" katoličkog Laudato TV-a, u kojoj je gostovala dr. Alemka Markotić, zajedno s teologom Robertom Šreterom i dekanom Katoličko-bogoslovnog fakulteta u Đakovu Vladimirom Dugalićem.

Ekspresno je iz konteksta emisije netko na YouTubeu izdvojio vrlo kratki isječak u kojem dr. Markotić govori o (ne)sigurnosti cijepljenja djece i testiranju cjepiva na sirotinjskoj djeci Afrike i Azije.

Iz njega bi se stoga moglo zaključiti da je to testiranje vrlo rizično i da dr. Markotić zapravo na neki način "opravdava" neokolonijalnu praksu zapadnog iskorištavanja ljudskih resursa iz Trećeg svijeta. Ona je, međutim, na kraju zaključila da je COVID u tome doveo do uvođenja ravnopravnosti na svjetskoj razini.

Evo što je rekla Alemka Markotić:

"Cjepivo se mora ispitati na nečijoj djeci da bi moje dijete bilo sigurno. Jako je važno da shvatimo da nitko nikoga sad ne tjera, ali kažu da treba ispitati cjepiva. A na čijoj ćemo djeci ispitati cjepiva? Dakle, brojna cjepiva rađena u zapadnim zemljama ispitivana su u siromašnim područjima Azije i Afrike. Na sirotinjskoj djeci, na nečijoj djeci se to mora ispitati da bi moje dijete bilo sigurno, kad primi. Na čijoj ćemo? Dakle, ovo je prvi put. Ovaj COVID je svašta izvlačio, neke stvari stavlja u red. Dakle, sada se ispituje i na europskoj i na američkoj i na drugoj djeci, a ne samo na afričkoj i azijskoj", zaključila je doktorica, koja je apelirala na ljude da prihvate na sebe i svoju djecu mali postotak rizika u trenutku kada čitav svijet pokušava dokučiti kako odnijeti pobjedu nad virusom.

No, nakon zagrebačkog prosvjeda – na kojem se naročito entuzijastično uzvikivalo "Ne damo vam djecu!" – ne treba sumnjati da će i ovaj povod biti iskorišten da se dolije ulje na vatru polemike oko svrhovitosti i sigurnosti cijepljenja najmlađih.

Zamolili smo za komentar dr. Zlatka Trobonjaču i dr. Gordana Lauca.

Trobonjača nam je samo kratko odgovorio da mu je teško to komentirati jer, citiramo, "nisam dobro upoznat s ispitnim skupinama u kliničkom testiranju cjepiva na djeci. No, bez obzira na to, u ovoj izjavi prof. Markotić ne vidim ništa sporno.

Gordan Lauc je iskoristio prigodu da ponovi svoje poznate stavove, koje ovim povodom nije naodmet ponovno uzeti u obzir:

"Protokoli po kojima se provode klinička ispitivanja su uvijek dobro i detaljno definirani, a da bismo znali kakva je učinkovitost i postoje li određene nuspojave kod djece, ispitivanja se moraju provesti i na djeci. Tu nije ništa sporno.

Ono što po mom mišljenju jest sporno je da se uopće provode masovna cijepljenja djece za bolest koja je za djecu u ogromnom postotku vrlo blaga. Neko vrijeme se to opravdavalo time što djeca mogu zaraziti starije, no od kada znamo da je ovo cjepivo vrlo slabo učinkovito u sprječavanju širenja zaraze te da i cijepljeni u značajnoj mjeri šire virus, cijepljenje djece i zdravih mladih ljudi naprosto nema nikakve medicinske logike.

Štoviše, prisila na cijepljenje djece i mladih predstavlja dugoročni rizik za produljenje pandemije, budući da će se neminovno pojaviti sojevi koji će uspješno izbjegavati imunitet stečen ovim jednim cjepivom koje se sada masovno koristi.

U tom kontekstu puno je bolje da se cijepljenje fokusira na starije i rizične, a da oni kojima prijeti blagi rizik bolesti prebole COVID-19 i tako razviju puno širi imunitet koji će biti značajna prepreka širenju te buduće varijante otporne na ovo cjepivo. To naravno nosi određeni rizik za razvoj teškog oblika bolesti i kod mladih te to svakako mora biti osobna odluka, a svim mladima, pa čak i djeci koja to žele treba omogućiti cijepljenje.", zaključuje Lauc.

Vrlo zanimljiva rasprava zapodjela se jučer navečer u dvosatnoj emisiji "Izdvojeno" katoličkog Laudato TV-a, u kojoj je gostovala dr. Alemka Markotić, zajedno s teologom Robertom Šreterom i dekanom Katoličko-bogoslovnog fakulteta u Đakovu Vladimirom Dugalićem.

Ekspresno je iz konteksta emisije netko na YouTubeu izdvojio vrlo kratki isječak u kojem dr. Markotić govori o (ne)sigurnosti cijepljenja djece i testiranju cjepiva na sirotinjskoj djeci Afrike i Azije.

Iz njega bi se stoga moglo zaključiti da je to testiranje vrlo rizično i da dr. Markotić zapravo na neki način "opravdava" neokolonijalnu praksu zapadnog iskorištavanja ljudskih resursa iz Trećeg svijeta. Ona je, međutim, na kraju zaključila da je COVID u tome doveo do uvođenja ravnopravnosti na svjetskoj razini.

Evo što je rekla Alemka Markotić:

"Cjepivo se mora ispitati na nečijoj djeci da bi moje dijete bilo sigurno. Jako je važno da shvatimo da nitko nikoga sad ne tjera, ali kažu da treba ispitati cjepiva. A na čijoj ćemo djeci ispitati cjepiva? Dakle, brojna cjepiva rađena u zapadnim zemljama ispitivana su u siromašnim područjima Azije i Afrike. Na sirotinjskoj djeci, na nečijoj djeci se to mora ispitati da bi moje dijete bilo sigurno, kad primi. Na čijoj ćemo? Dakle, ovo je prvi put. Ovaj COVID je svašta izvlačio, neke stvari stavlja u red. Dakle, sada se ispituje i na europskoj i na američkoj i na drugoj djeci, a ne samo na afričkoj i azijskoj", zaključila je doktorica, koja je apelirala na ljude da prihvate na sebe i svoju djecu mali postotak rizika u trenutku kada čitav svijet pokušava dokučiti kako odnijeti pobjedu nad virusom.

No, nakon zagrebačkog prosvjeda – na kojem se naročito entuzijastično uzvikivalo "Ne damo vam djecu!" – ne treba sumnjati da će i ovaj povod biti iskorišten da se dolije ulje na vatru polemike oko svrhovitosti i sigurnosti cijepljenja najmlađih.

Zamolili smo za komentar dr. Zlatka Trobonjaču i dr. Gordana Lauca.

Trobonjača nam je samo kratko odgovorio da mu je teško to komentirati jer, citiramo, "nisam dobro upoznat s ispitnim skupinama u kliničkom testiranju cjepiva na djeci. No, bez obzira na to, u ovoj izjavi prof. Markotić ne vidim ništa sporno.

Gordan Lauc je iskoristio prigodu da ponovi svoje poznate stavove, koje ovim povodom nije naodmet ponovno uzeti u obzir:

"Protokoli po kojima se provode klinička ispitivanja su uvijek dobro i detaljno definirani, a da bismo znali kakva je učinkovitost i postoje li određene nuspojave kod djece, ispitivanja se moraju provesti i na djeci. Tu nije ništa sporno.

Ono što po mom mišljenju jest sporno je da se uopće provode masovna cijepljenja djece za bolest koja je za djecu u ogromnom postotku vrlo blaga. Neko vrijeme se to opravdavalo time što djeca mogu zaraziti starije, no od kada znamo da je ovo cjepivo vrlo slabo učinkovito u sprječavanju širenja zaraze te da i cijepljeni u značajnoj mjeri šire virus, cijepljenje djece i zdravih mladih ljudi naprosto nema nikakve medicinske logike.

Štoviše, prisila na cijepljenje djece i mladih predstavlja dugoročni rizik za produljenje pandemije, budući da će se neminovno pojaviti sojevi koji će uspješno izbjegavati imunitet stečen ovim jednim cjepivom koje se sada masovno koristi.

U tom kontekstu puno je bolje da se cijepljenje fokusira na starije i rizične, a da oni kojima prijeti blagi rizik bolesti prebole COVID-19 i tako razviju puno širi imunitet koji će biti značajna prepreka širenju te buduće varijante otporne na ovo cjepivo. To naravno nosi određeni rizik za razvoj teškog oblika bolesti i kod mladih te to svakako mora biti osobna odluka, a svim mladima, pa čak i djeci koja to žele treba omogućiti cijepljenje.", zaključuje Lauc.
