Papa Franjo osudio je tijekom nedjeljne molitve aneksiju ukrajinskog teritorija i pozvao ruskog predsjednika da zaustavi rat. Također je apelirao na ukrajinskog čelnika Volodimira Zelenskog da bude otvoren za mirovne pregovore.

- Duboko žalim zbog teške situacije zadnjih dana gdje se najavljuju aktivnosti protivne načelima međunarodnog prava, To povećava rizik od nuklearne eskalacije i budi strah od nekontroliranih i katastrofalnih posljedica u cijelom svijetu.

Apelirao je, prenosi Jutarnji list, na Vladimira Putina da zaustavi spiralu nasilja i smrti, ali i na Zelenskog da bude otvore na ozbiljne prijedloge o miru.

Međunarodnu je zajednicu pozvao da učini sve kako bi okončala rat te apelirao "da ne dopusti uvlačenje u opasnu eskalaciju". Također moli međunarodnu zajednicu da podrži sve napore kako bi se sukob okončao putem dijaloga.

To je prvi put da se papa Franjo obratio izravno ruskom čelniku od početka invazije Moskve na Ukrajinu 24. veljače.

Papa Franjo osudio je tijekom nedjeljne molitve aneksiju ukrajinskog teritorija i pozvao ruskog predsjednika da zaustavi rat. Također je apelirao na ukrajinskog čelnika Volodimira Zelenskog da bude otvoren za mirovne pregovore.

- Duboko žalim zbog teške situacije zadnjih dana gdje se najavljuju aktivnosti protivne načelima međunarodnog prava, To povećava rizik od nuklearne eskalacije i budi strah od nekontroliranih i katastrofalnih posljedica u cijelom svijetu.

Apelirao je, prenosi Jutarnji list, na Vladimira Putina da zaustavi spiralu nasilja i smrti, ali i na Zelenskog da bude otvore na ozbiljne prijedloge o miru.

Međunarodnu je zajednicu pozvao da učini sve kako bi okončala rat te apelirao "da ne dopusti uvlačenje u opasnu eskalaciju". Također moli međunarodnu zajednicu da podrži sve napore kako bi se sukob okončao putem dijaloga.

To je prvi put da se papa Franjo obratio izravno ruskom čelniku od početka invazije Moskve na Ukrajinu 24. veljače.

Papa Franjo osudio je tijekom nedjeljne molitve aneksiju ukrajinskog teritorija i pozvao ruskog predsjednika da zaustavi rat. Također je apelirao na ukrajinskog čelnika Volodimira Zelenskog da bude otvoren za mirovne pregovore.

- Duboko žalim zbog teške situacije zadnjih dana gdje se najavljuju aktivnosti protivne načelima međunarodnog prava, To povećava rizik od nuklearne eskalacije i budi strah od nekontroliranih i katastrofalnih posljedica u cijelom svijetu.

Apelirao je, prenosi Jutarnji list, na Vladimira Putina da zaustavi spiralu nasilja i smrti, ali i na Zelenskog da bude otvore na ozbiljne prijedloge o miru.

Međunarodnu je zajednicu pozvao da učini sve kako bi okončala rat te apelirao "da ne dopusti uvlačenje u opasnu eskalaciju". Također moli međunarodnu zajednicu da podrži sve napore kako bi se sukob okončao putem dijaloga.

To je prvi put da se papa Franjo obratio izravno ruskom čelniku od početka invazije Moskve na Ukrajinu 24. veljače.
