Slavna manekenka Gigi Hadid prekinula je šutnju o napadima Hamasa na Izrael u kojima je poginulo najmanje 1400 Izraelaca i Palestinaca.

Supermodel (28), čiji je otac Mohamed (74) palestinskog podrijetla, na Instagramu je podijelila objavu u kojoj osuđuje ‘teroriziranje nedužnih ljudi‘ pod ‘pokretom za slobodnu Palestinu‘ te poslala ljubav i podršku svojim prijateljima Palestincima i Židovima, prenosi Jutarnji list.

"Moje su misli sa svima onima koji su pogođeni ovom neopravdanom tragedijom i svakim danom u kojem ovaj sukob odnosi nedužne živote, od kojih je previše djece. Osjećam duboku empatiju i bol zbog palestinske borbe i života pod okupacijom, to je odgovornost s kojom se svakodnevno nosim. Također osjećam odgovornost prema svojim prijateljima Židovima, a pojasnit ću kao što sam već i ranije: iako imam nade i snove za Palestince, nijedan od njih ne uključuje nanošenje štete Židovima.

Teroriziranje nedužnih ljudi nije u skladu s pokretom ‘Slobodna Palestina‘ i ne donosi mu nikakvu korist. Ideja da se to događa potaknula je bolan, desetljećima dug ciklus odmazde (čiji nijedan nedužni civil, Palestinac ili Izraelac, ne zaslužuje biti žrtva) i pomaže produljiti lažnu ideju da je pro-Palestinac = antisemit.

Ako ste povirijeđeni dok danas dijelim sućut sa svojim voljenima, i Palestincima i Židovima, šaljem vam svoju ljubav i snagu - tko god i gdje god bili. Postoji mnogo složenih, osobnih i opravdanih osjećaja, ali svaki čovjek zaslužuje osnovna prava, tretman i sigurnost; bez obzira na njihovu nacionalnost, vjeru, etničku pripadnost ili mjesto gdje su rođeni, piše Jutarnji list.

I Gigi i njezina sestra Bella (27) glasno podržavaju Palestinu te su prisustvovale marševima i demonstracijama. U svibnju 2021. izazvale su buru na društvenim mrežama nakon što su podijelile objavu u kojoj je pisalo da Izrael nije država, već zemlja koju su naselili kolonizatori. Bella je također objavila seriju karikatura u kojima Izrael naziva ‘okupatorom‘, a Palestince ‘potlačenima‘.

Njihov otac Mohamed Hadid je Palestinac rođen u Nazaretu u studenom 1948., četiri mjeseca nakon što su njegov grad zauzele izraelske snage. Obitelj je pobjegla u Siriju, a na kraju u Washington DC. Ima jordansko i američko državljanstvo.

Gigi, Bellu i sina Anwara (24) dijeli s bivšom suprugom, bivšom nizozemskom manekenkom Yolandom Hadid. Također je otac kćeri Alane (38) i Marielle (43) s bivšom suprugom Mary Butler.

Godine 2018. Gigi je na Twitteru napisala: ‘Rekla sam to ranije, a reći ću opet. Za mene, ovdje se ne radi o vjeri ili tome da su jedni protiv drugih - ovdje se radi o pohlepi‘, te je dodala hashtagove ‘Oslobodite Palestinu‘, ‘Oslobodite Gazu‘ i ‘Koegzistirajte‘, uz emoji znaka mira.

"Moja namjera nikada nije bila razdvajati ljude na grupe koje se mrze. Nisam protiv nikoga. Ja sam samo za suživot", kasnije je dodala.

Kada je Donald Trump priznao Jeruzalem kao glavni grad Izraela, Bella Hadid je napisala: ‘Postupanje prema palestinskom narodu je nepravedno, jednostrano i ne treba ga tolerirati. Stojim uz Palestinu‘.

U ožujku 2022. Gigi je pak kritizirana jer je u objavi na Instagramu usporedila rusku invaziju na Ukrajinu s izraelsko-palestinskim sukobom. Na Instagramu je objavila da će svoju zaradu od jesenskih modnih revija donirati ‘napaćenima‘ u Ukrajini i Palestini.

Osjećam duboku empatiju i bol zbog palestinske borbe i života pod okupacijom, to je odgovornost s kojom se svakodnevno nosim. Također osjećam odgovornost prema svojim prijateljima Židovima, a pojasnit ću kao što sam već i ranije: iako imam nade i snove za Palestince, nijedan od njih ne uključuje nanošenje štete Židovima.

Teroriziranje nedužnih ljudi nije u skladu s pokretom ‘Slobodna Palestina‘ i ne donosi mu nikakvu korist. Ideja da se to događa potaknula je bolan, desetljećima dug ciklus odmazde (čiji nijedan nedužni civil, Palestinac ili Izraelac, ne zaslužuje biti žrtva) i pomaže produljiti lažnu ideju da je pro-Palestinac = antisemit.

Slavna manekenka Gigi Hadid prekinula je šutnju o napadima Hamasa na Izrael u kojima je poginulo najmanje 1400 Izraelaca i Palestinaca.

Supermodel (28), čiji je otac Mohamed (74) palestinskog podrijetla, na Instagramu je podijelila objavu u kojoj osuđuje ‘teroriziranje nedužnih ljudi‘ pod ‘pokretom za slobodnu Palestinu‘ te poslala ljubav i podršku svojim prijateljima Palestincima i Židovima, prenosi Jutarnji list.
