Na Forumu je u tijeku postavljanje pozornice za otvaranje 62. Glazbenih večeri u sv. Donatu. Ovogodišnje izdanje održava se u sjećanje na nedavno preminuloga dirigenta, skladatelja i začetnika festivala Pavla Dešpalja.
Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu su glazbeni i glazbeno-scenski festival koji svojim reproduktivnim, muzikološkim, istraživačkim i edukativnim programom međunarodnog karaktera njeguje i promiče umjetničke vrijednosti i naslijeđe hrvatske i svjetske glazbene baštine uz dvije programske odrednice: komornu glazbu uz naglasak na rad Zadarskog komornog orkestra te ranu to jest srednjovjekovnu i renesansnu glazbu s posebnim naglaskom na lokalnu i nacionalnu baštinu istog područja, a čime udovoljava zahtjevima javnih potreba u obavljanju kulturne djelatnosti. Osnivač i organizator Glazbenih večeri u Sv. Donatu je Grad Zadar, a produkcija festivala povjerena je Javnoj ustanovi u kulturi Grada Zadra Koncertni ured Zadar. Umjetnički program od 2019. do 2023. godine formiraju Jurica Šoša i Katarina Livljanić (rana glazba). Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu održavaju se Zadru od 1961. godine naovamo, svake godine tijekom srpnja i kolovoza.
POVIJEST
Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu pokrenute su zahvaljujući entuzijazmu tadašnjega mladog glazbenika, danas jednoga od najvećih hrvatskih dirigenata, Zadranina Pavla Dešpalja. Na osnivanje Večeri potaknule su ga dvije želje - da crkva sv. Donata postane koncertni prostor i da Zadar ponovno dobije vlastiti orkestar.
Za potrebe održavanja Večeri, Pavle Dešpalj osnovao je Zadarski komorni orkestar, koji je 1961. inauguriran na prvom koncertu Glazbenih večeri u Sv. Donatu. Večeri su otvorene praizvedbom skladbe Moba za gudače, koju je posebno za tu priliku skladao njegov otac, Šime Dešpalj.
Zadarska predromanička rotonda tako je, nakon tisućugodišnjeg sna, otvorila svoja vrata publici koja je idućih šest desetljeća mogla uživati u vrhunskim glazbenim izvedbama u tom prostoru iznimne arhitekture i akustike.
Prva je faza festivala protekla u nastojanju da se u Zadar dovedu istaknuta imena svjetske i domaće reproduktivne glazbene umjetnosti, ali i da se uz pomoć Večeri osnaže vlastite, zadarske snage, koje bi ravnopravno sudjelovale u programu.
Od 1975. do 1990. znatan dio programa bio je posvećen ranoj glazbi, što je Večeri učinilo prepoznatljivima u Europi i svijetu. Bilo je to doba velikoga proboja rane glazbe, vrijeme u kojem se na Starom kontinentu entuzijazam za nju javio gotovo istovremeno kad i na zadarskoj pozornici. To je razdoblje koje se pamti po gostovanjima izuzetnih stručnjaka i umjetnika iz različitih dijelova svijeta koji su strastveno istraživali i izvodili glazbu srednjega vijeka, renesanse i baroka.
Nakon dramatičnog prekida 1991. godine, Večeri su nastavile s radom, prkosno održavajući kontinuitet čak i u ratnom vihoru pod granatama 1992. i 1993. godine, ali i razvijajući koncept koji će se održati do danas. On se temelji na biranim simfonijskim i komornim koncertima, uz ranu glazbu, ali zadržava fokus na predstavljanju zadarskih skladatelja i izvođača.
Uz nastupe nacionalnih i međunarodnih orkestara i ansambala, gostovanja eminentnih domaćih i inozemnih umjetnika, kontinuiranu suradnju Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu održavaju sa Zadarskim komornim orkestrom. Osim toga, na svojim ljetnim glazbenim pozornicama, Večeri su sigurna platforma za nastupe svih akademski obrazovanih zadarskih glazbenika, ali i prigoda da se ne zaborave i oni Zadrani koji su obilježili povijest glazbe, poput Blagoja Berse, Igora Kuljerića, Franza von Suppèa i drugih.
Danas Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu uživaju ugled najstarijega zadarskog festivala i jednoga od najstarijih hrvatskih glazbenih festivala, a zahvaljujući njima, crkva sv. Donata, simbol Zadra, prepoznata je kao jedna od najvažnijih europskih glazbenih pozornica!

Na Forumu je u tijeku postavljanje pozornice za otvaranje 62. Glazbenih večeri u sv. Donatu. Ovogodišnje izdanje održava se u sjećanje na nedavno preminuloga dirigenta, skladatelja i začetnika festivala Pavla Dešpalja.
Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu su glazbeni i glazbeno-scenski festival koji svojim reproduktivnim, muzikološkim, istraživačkim i edukativnim programom međunarodnog karaktera njeguje i promiče umjetničke vrijednosti i naslijeđe hrvatske i svjetske glazbene baštine uz dvije programske odrednice: komornu glazbu uz naglasak na rad Zadarskog komornog orkestra te ranu to jest srednjovjekovnu i renesansnu glazbu s posebnim naglaskom na lokalnu i nacionalnu baštinu istog područja, a čime udovoljava zahtjevima javnih potreba u obavljanju kulturne djelatnosti. Osnivač i organizator Glazbenih večeri u Sv. Donatu je Grad Zadar, a produkcija festivala povjerena je Javnoj ustanovi u kulturi Grada Zadra Koncertni ured Zadar. Umjetnički program od 2019. do 2023. godine formiraju Jurica Šoša i Katarina Livljanić (rana glazba). Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu održavaju se Zadru od 1961. godine naovamo, svake godine tijekom srpnja i kolovoza.
POVIJEST
Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu pokrenute su zahvaljujući entuzijazmu tadašnjega mladog glazbenika, danas jednoga od najvećih hrvatskih dirigenata, Zadranina Pavla Dešpalja. Na osnivanje Večeri potaknule su ga dvije želje - da crkva sv. Donata postane koncertni prostor i da Zadar ponovno dobije vlastiti orkestar.
Za potrebe održavanja Večeri, Pavle Dešpalj osnovao je Zadarski komorni orkestar, koji je 1961. inauguriran na prvom koncertu Glazbenih večeri u Sv. Donatu. Večeri su otvorene praizvedbom skladbe Moba za gudače, koju je posebno za tu priliku skladao njegov otac, Šime Dešpalj.
Zadarska predromanička rotonda tako je, nakon tisućugodišnjeg sna, otvorila svoja vrata publici koja je idućih šest desetljeća mogla uživati u vrhunskim glazbenim izvedbama u tom prostoru iznimne arhitekture i akustike.
Prva je faza festivala protekla u nastojanju da se u Zadar dovedu istaknuta imena svjetske i domaće reproduktivne glazbene umjetnosti, ali i da se uz pomoć Večeri osnaže vlastite, zadarske snage, koje bi ravnopravno sudjelovale u programu.
Od 1975. do 1990. znatan dio programa bio je posvećen ranoj glazbi, što je Večeri učinilo prepoznatljivima u Europi i svijetu. Bilo je to doba velikoga proboja rane glazbe, vrijeme u kojem se na Starom kontinentu entuzijazam za nju javio gotovo istovremeno kad i na zadarskoj pozornici. To je razdoblje koje se pamti po gostovanjima izuzetnih stručnjaka i umjetnika iz različitih dijelova svijeta koji su strastveno istraživali i izvodili glazbu srednjega vijeka, renesanse i baroka.
Nakon dramatičnog prekida 1991. godine, Večeri su nastavile s radom, prkosno održavajući kontinuitet čak i u ratnom vihoru pod granatama 1992. i 1993. godine, ali i razvijajući koncept koji će se održati do danas. On se temelji na biranim simfonijskim i komornim koncertima, uz ranu glazbu, ali zadržava fokus na predstavljanju zadarskih skladatelja i izvođača.
Uz nastupe nacionalnih i međunarodnih orkestara i ansambala, gostovanja eminentnih domaćih i inozemnih umjetnika, kontinuiranu suradnju Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu održavaju sa Zadarskim komornim orkestrom. Osim toga, na svojim ljetnim glazbenim pozornicama, Večeri su sigurna platforma za nastupe svih akademski obrazovanih zadarskih glazbenika, ali i prigoda da se ne zaborave i oni Zadrani koji su obilježili povijest glazbe, poput Blagoja Berse, Igora Kuljerića, Franza von Suppèa i drugih.
Danas Glazbene večeri u Sv. Donatu uživaju ugled najstarijega zadarskog festivala i jednoga od najstarijih hrvatskih glazbenih festivala, a zahvaljujući njima, crkva sv. Donata, simbol Zadra, prepoznata je kao jedna od najvažnijih europskih glazbenih pozornica!
