Kirurški tim Zavoda za maksilofacijalnu kirurgiju KBC-a Split je prošli mjesec učinio prvu autolognu transplantaciju matičnih stanica iz potkoljenice u čeljust u pacijenta kojem se razvila opsežna osteradionekroza nakon provedene onkološke radioterapije.

Jedinstven je to zahvat u Hrvatskoj s kojim se KBC Split smjestio „rame uz rame“ s drugim kliničkim centrima u svijetu i najsuvremenijoj metodi liječenja posljedica onkoloških terapija, priopćili su iz bolnice.

Pročelnik Zavoda doktor Saša Ercegović istaknuo je da je do sada provedeno nekoliko ovakvih kirurških postupaka te da je kod svih pacijenata zabilježen izvrstan klinički odgovor.

Radi se o najsuvremenijoj metodi, u kojoj se za vrijeme standardnog kirurškog postupka sanacije kosti čeljust koja "odumire", iz vlastite pacijentove potkoljenice ili ilijačne kriste kuka aspirira koncentrat koštane srži, te se nakon obrade aplicira u nekrotičnu kost čeljusti.

Cilj terapije je obaviti regeneraciju nekrotične kosti te zaustaviti njeno daljnje propadanje kako bi se spriječili opsežniji kirurški postupci koji postoperativno značajno utječu na kvalitetu pacijentiva života.

Dr. Ercegović ističe da je do sada pod vodstvom doc. dr. sc. Daniela Jerkovića provedeno nekoliko ovakvih kirurški postupaka te da je kod svih pacijenata zabilježen izvrstan klinički odgovor.

Kirurški tim Zavoda za maksilofacijalnu kirurgiju KBC-a Split je prošli mjesec učinio prvu autolognu transplantaciju matičnih stanica iz potkoljenice u čeljust u pacijenta kojem se razvila opsežna osteradionekroza nakon provedene onkološke radioterapije.

Jedinstven je to zahvat u Hrvatskoj s kojim se KBC Split smjestio „rame uz rame“ s drugim kliničkim centrima u svijetu i najsuvremenijoj metodi liječenja posljedica onkoloških terapija, priopćili su iz bolnice.

Pročelnik Zavoda doktor Saša Ercegović istaknuo je da je do sada provedeno nekoliko ovakvih kirurških postupaka te da je kod svih pacijenata zabilježen izvrstan klinički odgovor.

Radi se o najsuvremenijoj metodi, u kojoj se za vrijeme standardnog kirurškog postupka sanacije kosti čeljust koja "odumire", iz vlastite pacijentove potkoljenice ili ilijačne kriste kuka aspirira koncentrat koštane srži, te se nakon obrade aplicira u nekrotičnu kost čeljusti.

Cilj terapije je obaviti regeneraciju nekrotične kosti te zaustaviti njeno daljnje propadanje kako bi se spriječili opsežniji kirurški postupci koji postoperativno značajno utječu na kvalitetu pacijentiva života.

Dr. Ercegović ističe da je do sada pod vodstvom doc. dr. sc. Daniela Jerkovića provedeno nekoliko ovakvih kirurški postupaka te da je kod svih pacijenata zabilježen izvrstan klinički odgovor.
