Na privatnoj parceli u blizini Gospina otoka, na području koje Solinjani nazivaju Bugarevo, "izronili" su arheološki ostaci.
Riječ je o zemljištu u neposrednom susjedstvu hotela "President" gdje su tijekom zaštitnih arheoloških istraživanja pronađeni ostaci antičkog bedema ili zidovi neke građevine iz tog doba.
Ništa neočekivano budući da su se na terenu preko ulice, o čemu smo već pisali, također prilikom zaštitnih radova na privatnoj parceli, pokazala vrijedna otkrića.
Aktualna lokacija formalno je još uvijek u vlasništvu privatne osobe, ali je u internetskom sustavu zemljišnih knjiga vidljiva predbilježba vlasništva na trgovačku tvrtku "Ribola" iz Kaštel Kambelovca, na temelju kupoprodajnog ugovora od 30. ožujka 2020. godine. Prema neslužbenim informacijama, na zemljištu bi se trebao graditi prodajni objekt tog poznatog dalmatinskog trgovačkog lanca, a njihov ukupno peti u Solinu.

Prostor zauzima površinu od 3757 četvornih metara, a nalazi se u trokutu između nekoliko prometnica, u blizini novog kružnog toka na predjelu Priko vode. U tijeku su zaštitna istraživanja koja će pokazati što se nekoć nalazilo na tom dijelu grada i sigurno će mnogo značiti za daljnje "iščitavanje" prostora Salone, arhelozima, konzervatorima i drugim stručnjacima.
Kada je riječ o parceli u susjedstvu, lokacija je donijela nove spoznaje o glavnom gradu antičke Dalmacije. O tome smo izvještavali prošle godine u više navrata, kao i zbog razloga što su se tamo vodili brojni stručni prijepori i rasprave koje su se prelile i u javnost, te je propisano sustavno arheološko istraživanje cijele površine.

Kako je tom prilikom pisala naša medijska kuća i kolegica Eda Vujević, tijekom istraživanja pronađen je nastavak masivnog zida u dužini od 30 metara, koji ulazi u južni profil iskopa. Na sjevernom dijelu zida pronađen je početak istočnih gradskih vrata čiji se veći dio nalazi ispod današnje prometnice, pa su konzervatori naručili i proveli georadarska istraživanja kako bi se registrirao njihov položaj i veličina.
Na lokalitetu su dokumentirane četiri razine povijesnih prometnica, tri iz antičkog doba, smjera istok – zapad, te kaldrma novovjekovne ceste u smjeru sjever – jug.

Radi se o dionici iste ceste koja sjeverno od tvrđave Gradina nad antičkim bedemom Salone vodi do nekadašnjih Porta Andetria, sjevernih gradskih vrata od kojih je vodila rimska cesta prema Andetriumu, antičkom naselju koje većina strućnjaka pozicionira na područje današnjega Gornjeg Muća. Međutim, pronalazak starovjekovne prometnice na jugu nije neočekivan, za razliku od nalaza ostatka bedema pod njom.
– Pružanje bedema južnije od Gospina otoka otvara novi pogled na urbanizam Salone, a to potvrđuju i neki rezultati iz prethodnih zaštitnih istraživanja.

Sintezom rezultata dosadašnjih zaštitnih radova možemo pretpostaviti da je južno od Ulice kralja Zvonimira otprilike do Ulice Marka Marulića postojalo još jedno proširenje antičke Salone koje bi se, po analogiji s ostalim dijelovima grada, moglo nazvati Urbs australis, a na njegovu istočnom zidu nekada su bila golema utvrđena gradska vrata, odakle su rimske ceste vodile prema Stobreču i Splitu - kazao je, među ostalim, u tom razgovoru za "Slobodnu Dalmaciju" dr. Na privatnoj parceli u blizini Gospina otoka, na području koje Solinjani nazivaju Bugarevo, "izronili" su arheološki ostaci.
Riječ je o zemljištu u neposrednom susjedstvu hotela "President" gdje su tijekom zaštitnih arheoloških istraživanja pronađeni ostaci antičkog bedema ili zidovi neke građevine iz tog doba.
Ništa neočekivano budući da su se na terenu preko ulice, o čemu smo već pisali, također prilikom zaštitnih radova na privatnoj parceli, pokazala vrijedna otkrića.
Aktualna lokacija formalno je još uvijek u vlasništvu privatne osobe, ali je u internetskom sustavu zemljišnih knjiga vidljiva predbilježba vlasništva na trgovačku tvrtku "Ribola" iz Kaštel Kambelovca, na temelju kupoprodajnog ugovora od 30. ožujka 2020. godine. Prema neslužbenim informacijama, na zemljištu bi se trebao graditi prodajni objekt tog poznatog dalmatinskog trgovačkog lanca, a njihov ukupno peti u Solinu.

Prostor zauzima površinu od 3757 četvornih metara, a nalazi se u trokutu između nekoliko prometnica, u blizini novog kružnog toka na predjelu Priko vode. U tijeku su zaštitna istraživanja koja će pokazati što se nekoć nalazilo na tom dijelu grada i sigurno će mnogo značiti za daljnje "iščitavanje" prostora Salone, arhelozima, konzervatorima i drugim stručnjacima.
Kada je riječ o parceli u susjedstvu, lokacija je donijela nove spoznaje o glavnom gradu antičke Dalmacije. O tome smo izvještavali prošle godine u više navrata, kao i zbog razloga što su se tamo vodili brojni stručni prijepori i rasprave koje su se prelile i u javnost, te je propisano sustavno arheološko istraživanje cijele površine.

Kako je tom prilikom pisala naša medijska kuća i kolegica Eda Vujević, tijekom istraživanja pronađen je nastavak masivnog zida u dužini od 30 metara, koji ulazi u južni profil iskopa. Na sjevernom dijelu zida pronađen je početak istočnih gradskih vrata čiji se veći dio nalazi ispod današnje prometnice, pa su konzervatori naručili i proveli georadarska istraživanja kako bi se registrirao njihov položaj i veličina.
Na lokalitetu su dokumentirane četiri razine povijesnih prometnica, tri iz antičkog doba, smjera istok – zapad, te kaldrma novovjekovne ceste u smjeru sjever – jug.

Radi se o dionici iste ceste koja sjeverno od tvrđave Gradina nad antičkim bedemom Salone vodi do nekadašnjih Porta Andetria, sjevernih gradskih vrata od kojih je vodila rimska cesta prema Andetriumu, antičkom naselju koje većina strućnjaka pozicionira na područje današnjega Gornjeg Muća. Međutim, pronalazak starovjekovne prometnice na jugu nije neočekivan, za razliku od nalaza ostatka bedema pod njom.
– Pružanje bedema južnije od Gospina otoka otvara novi pogled na urbanizam Salone, a to potvrđuju i neki rezultati iz prethodnih zaštitnih istraživanja.

Sintezom rezultata dosadašnjih zaštitnih radova možemo pretpostaviti da je južno od Ulice kralja Zvonimira otprilike do Ulice Marka Marulića postojalo još jedno proširenje antičke Salone koje bi se, po analogiji s ostalim dijelovima grada, moglo nazvati Urbs australis, a na njegovu istočnom zidu nekada su bila golema utvrđena gradska vrata, odakle su rimske ceste vodile prema Stobreču i Splitu - kazao je, među ostalim, u tom razgovoru za "Slobodnu Dalmaciju" dr. Radoslav Bužančić, pročelnik Konzervatorskog odjela u Splitu.
