Slavna grupa prodala je više od 400 milijuna albuma i utjecala na naraštaje pop glazbenika

Zarekli su se da se nikada neće ponovno okupiti na razočarenje legije obožavatelja. No gotovo četiri desetljeća od razlaza, očekuje se da će švedska ABBA danas najaviti "senzacionalan" glazbeni povratak.

Slavna grupa prodala je više od 400 milijuna albuma i utjecala na naraštaje pop glazbenika.

Nakon pobjede na Euroviziji 1974. godine s pjesmom "Waterloo", postali su globalne superzvijezde zahvaljujući nizu hitova sedamdesetih i ranih osamdesetih.

Od razilaženja 1982. godine, uporno su se opirali ponudama da se ponovo okupe.

No očekuje se da će u četvrtak razveseliti obožavatelje vijestima o novoj suradnji.

Sada sedamdesetogodišnji autori pop klasika "Dancing Queen", "The Winner Takes It All" i "Take a Chance on Me", najavili su "povijesnu" objavu u 18:45 po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.

Detalji se još drže u tajnosti, ali očekuje se da će grupa najaviti objavu prvih pjesama od 1980-ih i pokretanje nove kazališne predstave u kojoj će nastupati kao hologrami "Abbatars".

"Hvala vam što ste čekali, putovanje će uskoro početi", objavila je prošli tjedan na Twitteru slavna četvorka - Anni-Frid Lyngstad (75), Agnetha Faltskog (71), Bjorn Ulvaeus (76) i Benny Andersson (74).

Tabloid The Sun piše da je bend snimio osam novih pjesama.

Biografija ABBE

Legendarni disko kvartet ABBA prodao je do danas više od 400 milijuna albuma i odveo generacije na plesni podij zaraznim melodijama i kičastim kostimima.

S osam albuma i više od 4o singlova u manje od desetljeća, švedski je bend 1974. na prepad osvojio glazbenu scenu i postao kultna senzacija čija popularnost nije jenjala do danas unatoč brojnim promjenama u glazbenim trendovima.

Sastavljena od dvaju danas razvedenih parova, naziv ABBA akronim je imena četvero članova koji su danas u zlatnim godinama Anni-Frid Lyngstad (75), Agnethe Faltskog (71), Bjorna Ulvaeusa (76) i Bennyja Anderssona (74).

Benny i Bjorn počeli su zajedno skladati 1966., a kvartet je sastavljen tri godine poslije dolaskom Agnethe i Anni-Frid.

Godine 1973. grupa, koja je usvojila naziv ABBA tek godinu poslije, nije se na nacionalnom švedskom natjecanju uspjela kvalificirati na Euroviziju.

Waterloo

Ali već iduće godine tada nepoznati bend uzrokovao je senzaciju pobjedom na Euroviziji u Brightonu pjesmom "Waterloo".

Pjesma je postala hit na cijelom kontinentu i rođen je novi glazbeni fenomen.

Slijedio je hit za hitom, uključujući singl "Mamma Mia" 1975., koji je prvog mjesta britanske ljestvice svrgnuo "Bohemian Rhapsody" gurpe Queen.

Iduće godine je album "Arrival" s pjesmama poput "Money, Money, Money", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" i "Dancing Queen" prodan u više od 10 milijuna primjeraka.

Izvedena uživo prvi put na vjenčanju švedskog kralja 1976., "Dancing Queen" postala je međunarodni hit godine.

"Take a Chance on Me" i "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" u idućim godinama zacementirali su zvjezdani status švedske grupe.

Dva razvoda i razlaz

Razvod Bjorna i Agnethe 1979. bio je početak kraja grupe i rezultirao je jednom od njihovih najpotištenijih pjesama "The Winner Takes It All" koju je napisao Bjorn i doveo Agnethu u čudnu poziciju da pjeva pjesmu o razlazu čiji je autor njezin bivši muž.

Godinu kasnije izašao je album "Super Trouper" nakon kojeg je grupa, pokazalo se, posljednji put svirala uživo.

Benny i Frida razveli su se 1981., a 1982. grupa je najavila da uzima stanku.

Stanka traje do danas jer se ABBA više nije okupila ni u studiju ni na pozornici.

Unatoč brojnim zahtjevima tijekom godina, jako je malo autora dobilo odobrenje da semplira njihove pjesme. Kad je Madonna zamolila da semplira "Gimme Gimme Gimme" za njezin hit "Hung Up" 2005., dobila je odobrenje tek kad je ABBA čula konačnu verziju njezine pjesme.

No gotovo četiri desetljeća od razlaza, očekuje se da će švedska ABBA danas najaviti "senzacionalan" glazbeni povratak.

"Povijesna" objava očekuje se 18:45 po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.

Detalji se još drže u tajnosti, ali očekuje se da će grupa najaviti objavu prvih pjesama od 1980-ih i pokretanje nove kazališne predstave u kojoj će nastupati kao hologrami "Abbatars". (Hina)

Biografija ABBE

Legendarni disko kvartet ABBA prodao je do danas više od 400 milijuna albuma i odveo generacije na plesni podij zaraznim melodijama i kičastim kostimima.

S osam albuma i više od 4o singlova u manje od desetljeća, švedski je bend 1974. na prepad osvojio glazbenu scenu i postao kultna senzacija čija popularnost nije jenjala do danas unatoč brojnim promjenama u glazbenim trendovima.

Sastavljena od dvaju danas razvedenih parova, naziv ABBA akronim je imena četvero članova koji su danas u zlatnim godinama Anni-Frid Lyngstad (75), Agnethe Faltskog (71), Bjorna Ulvaeusa (76) i Bennyja Anderssona (74).

Benny i Bjorn počeli su zajedno skladati 1966., a kvartet je sastavljen tri godine poslije dolaskom Agnethe i Anni-Frid.

Godine 1973. grupa, koja je usvojila naziv ABBA tek godinu poslije, nije se na nacionalnom švedskom natjecanju uspjela kvalificirati na Euroviziju.

Waterloo

Ali već iduće godine tada nepoznati bend uzrokovao je senzaciju pobjedom na Euroviziji u Brightonu pjesmom "Waterloo".

Pjesma je postala hit na cijelom kontinentu i rođen je novi glazbeni fenomen.

Slijedio je hit za hitom, uključujući singl "Mamma Mia" 1975., koji je prvog mjesta britanske ljestvice svrgnuo "Bohemian Rhapsody" gurpe Queen.

Iduće godine je album "Arrival" s pjesmama poput "Money, Money, Money", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" i "Dancing Queen" prodan u više od 10 milijuna primjeraka.

Izvedena uživo prvi put na vjenčanju švedskog kralja 1976., "Dancing Queen" postala je međunarodni hit godine.

"Take a Chance on Me" i "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)" u idućim godinama zacementirali su zvjezdani status švedske grupe.

Dva razvoda i razlaz

Razvod Bjorna i Agnethe 1979. bio je početak kraja grupe i rezultirao je jednom od njihovih najpotištenijih pjesama "The Winner Takes It All" koju je napisao Bjorn i doveo Agnethu u čudnu poziciju da pjeva pjesmu o razlazu čiji je autor njezin bivši muž.

Godinu kasnije izašao je album "Super Trouper" nakon kojeg je grupa, pokazalo se, posljednji put svirala uživo.

Benny i Frida razveli su se 1981., a 1982. grupa je najavila da uzima stanku.

Stanka traje do danas jer se ABBA više nije okupila ni u studiju ni na pozornici.

Unatoč brojnim zahtjevima tijekom godina, jako je malo autora dobilo odobrenje da semplira njihove pjesme. Kad je Madonna zamolila da semplira "Gimme Gimme Gimme" za njezin hit "Hung Up" 2005., dobila je odobrenje tek kad je ABBA čula konačnu verziju njezine pjesme.

No gotovo četiri desetljeća od razlaza, očekuje se da će švedska ABBA danas najaviti "senzacionalan" glazbeni povratak.

"Povijesna" objava očekuje se 18:45 po srednjoeuropskom vremenu.
