Kraljica Elizabeta II. boravila je u Dubrovniku 19. listopada 1972. godine u okviru jedine službene posjete tadašnjoj jugoslavenskoj državi. Tog dana Njezino Veličanstvo je u pratnji predsjednika Skupštine općine Dubrovnik Ante Vetme obišla i razgledala dubrovačke kulturno-povijesne znamenitosti. Zagrebački dnevnik "Vjesnik" o kraljičinoj posjeti objavio je na vrhu prve stranice informaciju svojeg dubrovačkog dopisnika Suada Ahmetovića i njegovu fotografiju snimljenu na gradskim zidinama. - Kraljica je s pratnjom ušla u grad s Pila, a kad se pojavila na glavnoj ulici Placi kod Velike Onofrijeve fontane srdačno su je pozdravili brojni Dubrovčani i turisti. Ja sam se trudio da dođem što biliže jer sam imao jednostavan fotoaparat bez mogućnosti zumiranja kadrova. Neočekivano je protokol uputio kraljicu da se popne na zidine po nastrmijem vrlo uskom stepeništu s lijeve strane Crkve svetog Spasa. Pri tome je nastala zbrka i osiguranje je propustilo samo nekoliko ljudi iz pratnje da krene za kraljicom, a ja sam im se priključio kao da je sasvim normalno što sam među njima. Stepenište se na sredini račva u dva smjera, a kad su svi nastavili penjanje desnim krakom ja sam krenuo lijevim znajući da će i oni doći tamo odakle se pruža najljepši pogled na Stradun. Dok se kraljica prva približavala tom mjestu ja sam mirno "škljocao" fotoaparatom i tako je nastala atraktivna fotogafija koja je objavljena na prvoj "Vjesnikovoj" stranici. Dok sam bio time zabavljen prišao mi je jedan član osiguranja koji je bio obučen u milicijsku uniformu s nekim činovima. Upitao me je "Tko si ti?", "Kako si dospio tu?". Odgovorio sam da radim svoj novinarski posao. Pošto je već prišla blizu, kraljica je primijetila što se događa, pa je šapnula nešto jednom svom pratitelju koji je došao k meni i zapitao me: "Gospodine, imate li kakvih problema?". Okrenuo sam se prema milicionaru i rekao: "Ovaj gospodin pita imam li problem?". On se samo povukao i rekao: "Ne, ne, sve je u redu!" Poslije me nitko nije zaustavljao, pa sam neometano bio u kraljičinoj blizini i kad je posjetila Pomorski muzej gdje ju je dočekao direktor Josip Luetić. Posjet Dubrovniku kraljice Elizabete II. završen je svečanim ručkom priređenim u njenu čast u hotelu "Excelsioru" - prepričao nam je svoj susret sa pokojnom kraljicom Suad Ahmetović.

Kraljica Elizabeta II. boravila je u Dubrovniku 19. listopada 1972. godine u okviru jedine službene posjete tadašnjoj jugoslavenskoj državi. Tog dana Njezino Veličanstvo je u pratnji predsjednika Skupštine općine Dubrovnik Ante Vetme obišla i razgledala dubrovačke kulturno-povijesne znamenitosti. - Kraljica je s pratnjom ušla u grad s Pila, a kad se pojavila na glavnoj ulici Placi kod Velike Onofrijeve fontane srdačno su je pozdravili brojni Dubrovčani i turisti. Ja sam se trudio da dođem što biliže jer sam imao jednostavan fotoaparat bez mogućnosti zumiranja kadrova. Neočekivano je protokol uputio kraljicu da se popne na zidine po nastrmijem vrlo uskom stepeništu s lijeve strane Crkve svetog Spasa. Pri tome je nastala zbrka i osiguranje je propustilo samo nekoliko ljudi iz pratnje da krene za kraljicom, a ja sam im se priključio kao da je sasvim normalno što sam među njima. Stepenište se na sredini račva u dva smjera, a kad su svi nastavili penjanje desnim krakom ja sam krenuo lijevim znajući da će i oni doći tamo odakle se pruža najljepši pogled na Stradun. Dok se kraljica prva približavala tom mjestu ja sam mirno "škljocao" fotoaparatom i tako je nastala atraktivna fotogafija koja je objavljena na prvoj "Vjesnikovoj" stranici. Dok sam bio time zabavljen prišao mi je jedan član osiguranja koji je bio obučen u milicijsku uniformu s nekim činovima. Upitao me je "Tko si ti?", "Kako si dospio tu?". Odgovorio sam da radim svoj novinarski posao. Pošto je već prišla blizu, kraljica je primijetila što se događa, pa je šapnula nešto jednom svom pratitelju koji je došao k meni i zapitao me: "Gospodine, imate li kakvih problema?". Okrenuo sam se prema milicionaru i rekao: "Ovaj gospodin pita imam li problem?". On se samo povukao i rekao: "Ne, ne, sve je u redu!" Poslije me nitko nije zaustavljao, pa sam neometano bio u kraljičinoj blizini i kad je posjetila Pomorski muzej gdje ju je dočekao direktor Josip Luetić. Posjet Dubrovniku kraljice Elizabete II. završen je svečanim ručkom priređenim u njenu čast u hotelu "Excelsioru" - prepričao nam je svoj susret sa pokojnom kraljicom Suad Ahmetović.

Kraljica Elizabeta II. boravila je u Dubrovniku 19. listopada 1972. godine u okviru jedine službene posjete tadašnjoj jugoslavenskoj državi. Tog dana Njezino Veličanstvo je u pratnji predsjednika Skupštine općine Dubrovnik Ante Vetme obišla i razgledala dubrovačke kulturno-povijesne znamenitosti. Zagrebački dnevnik "Vjesnik" o kraljičinoj posjeti objavio je na vrhu prve stranice informaciju svojeg dubrovačkog dopisnika Suada Ahmetovića i njegovu fotografiju snimljenu na gradskim zidinama. O tom događaju gospar Suad nam je ispričao zanimljive pojedinosti:
