Ususret novoj sezoni ljetovanja, Društvo istraživača mora 20.000 milja sa suradnicima čistilo je podmorje i obalu otoka Silbe i tako drugu godinu za redom poslali glasnu poruku koja je ujedno i krovno ime projekta - da samo zajedno možemo učiniti nešto protiv morskog otpada.

U vikendu u kojem se simbolično slavio i Dan planete zemlje, odrađene su akcije čišćenja obale na sjeveroistočnoj strani otoka uz uvalu Drage te akcija čišćenja podmorja na zapadnoj strani otoka na području lokalne lučice te glavnog pristališta za brodove na području Žalića. "Ove lokacije smo odabrali jer su poznate po naplavinama otpada iz mora. To je, nažalost, konstantna pojava, posebice nakon snažnih razdoblja bure koja prouzrokuje valove koji na obalu naplave raznorazne oblike otpada, ponajviše plastičnog.", objasnila je Barbara Čolić, dopredsjednica udruge Društva istraživača mora, koji su zajedničkim snagama s udrugom Aurelia i lokalnom zajednicom otoka Silbe još jednom napravili ogroman posao.

Desetak mladih volontera, studenata Sveučilišta u Zadru te desetak predstavnika lokalne zajednice prikupilo je iznimno velike količine – 10 kubika, pretežito plastike na području obale kod Drage te u podmorju kod lokalne lučice i glavnog trajektnog pristaništa oko kubik otpada, uglavnom guma i ostataka metalnih konstrukcija kao i sveprisutne plastike.

S ovim brojkama, jedno je jasno - ovaj projekt koji je započeo prošle godine na otoku Ižu ima veliku budućnost.

Ususret novoj sezoni ljetovanja, Društvo istraživača mora 20.000 milja sa suradnicima čistilo je podmorje i obalu otoka Silbe i tako drugu godinu za redom poslali glasnu poruku koja je ujedno i krovno ime projekta - da samo zajedno možemo učiniti nešto protiv morskog otpada.

U vikendu u kojem se simbolično slavio i Dan planete zemlje, odrađene su akcije čišćenja obale na sjeveroistočnoj strani otoka uz uvalu Drage te akcija čišćenja podmorja na zapadnoj strani otoka na području lokalne lučice te glavnog pristališta za brodove na području Žalića. "Ove lokacije smo odabrali jer su poznate po naplavinama otpada iz mora. To je, nažalost, konstantna pojava, posebice nakon snažnih razdoblja bure koja prouzrokuje valove koji na obalu naplave raznorazne oblike otpada, ponajviše plastičnog.", objasnila je Barbara Čolić, dopredsjednica udruge Društva istraživača mora, koji su zajedničkim snagama s udrugom Aurelia i lokalnom zajednicom otoka Silbe još jednom napravili ogroman posao.

Desetak mladih volontera, studenata Sveučilišta u Zadru te desetak predstavnika lokalne zajednice prikupilo je iznimno velike količine – 10 kubika, pretežito plastike na području obale kod Drage te u podmorju kod lokalne lučice i glavnog trajektnog pristaništa oko kubik otpada, uglavnom guma i ostataka metalnih konstrukcija kao i sveprisutne plastike.

S ovim brojkama, jedno je jasno - ovaj projekt koji je započeo prošle godine na otoku Ižu ima veliku budućnost.
