Putnici luksuznog kruzera koji su krenuli na novogodišnje krstarenje bili su čak tjedan dana blokirani na moru zbog "biološkog obraštaja" koji je, prema zahtjevu australskih vlasti, trebalo djelomično ukloniti s trupa broda kako ne bi naštetio ekosustavu.

Australski guverner je rekao da su ronioci morali ukloniti "biološki obraštaj" - naslage mikroorganizama, biljaka, algi i sitnih životinja s trupa Viking Oriona dok se nalazio u međunarodnim vodama.

Čišćenje je bilo nužno radi zaštite australskih voda od "potencijalno štetnih morskih organizama", priopćilo je ministarstvo za ribarstvo.

Viking Orion, brod s 930 mjesta, izgrađen 2018. i opremljen svim pogodnostima za ugodan boravak turista kao što su wellness zonar, kazalište, sportski tereni, bazen, isplovio je 23. prosinca iz Auckalanda na Novom Zelandu.

Bilo je predviđeno uplovljavanje u Christchurch i Dunedin na Novom Zelandu te u Hobart, glavni grad australske države Tasmanije te u Melbourne.

Umjesto toga Viking Orion stajao je blokiran dok su ronioci obavljali posao na otvorenom moru najbliže australskom gradu Adelaide.

"Iako je brod propustio nekoliko turističkih posjeta na putu zbog čišćenja, nastavit će put", objavila je kompanija Viking i kazala da će korisnici biti obeštećeni.

Putnici luksuznog kruzera koji su krenuli na novogodišnje krstarenje bili su čak tjedan dana blokirani na moru zbog "biološkog obraštaja" koji je, prema zahtjevu australskih vlasti, trebalo djelomično ukloniti s trupa broda kako ne bi naštetio ekosustavu.

Australski guverner je rekao da su ronioci morali ukloniti "biološki obraštaj" - naslage mikroorganizama, biljaka, algi i sitnih životinja s trupa Viking Oriona dok se nalazio u međunarodnim vodama.

Čišćenje je bilo nužno radi zaštite australskih voda od "potencijalno štetnih morskih organizama", priopćilo je ministarstvo za ribarstvo.

Viking Orion, brod s 930 mjesta, izgrađen 2018. i opremljen svim pogodnostima za ugodan boravak turista kao što su wellness zonar, kazalište, sportski tereni, bazen, isplovio je 23. prosinca iz Auckalanda na Novom Zelandu.

Bilo je predviđeno uplovljavanje u Christchurch i Dunedin na Novom Zelandu te u Hobart, glavni grad australske države Tasmanije te u Melbourne.

Umjesto toga Viking Orion stajao je blokiran dok su ronioci obavljali posao na otvorenom moru najbliže australskom gradu Adelaide.

"Iako je brod propustio nekoliko turističkih posjeta na putu zbog čišćenja, nastavit će put", objavila je kompanija Viking i kazala da će korisnici biti obeštećeni.

Putnici luksuznog kruzera koji su krenuli na novogodišnje krstarenje bili su čak tjedan dana blokirani na moru zbog "biološkog obraštaja" koji je, prema zahtjevu australskih vlasti, trebalo djelomično ukloniti s trupa broda kako ne bi naštetio ekosustavu.

Australski guverner je rekao da su ronioci morali ukloniti "biološki obraštaj" - naslage mikroorganizama, biljaka, algi i sitnih životinja s trupa Viking Oriona dok se nalazio u međunarodnim vodama.

Čišćenje je bilo nužno radi zaštite australskih voda od "potencijalno štetnih morskih organizama", priopćilo je ministarstvo za ribarstvo.

Viking Orion, brod s 930 mjesta, izgrađen 2018. i opremljen svim pogodnostima za ugodan boravak turista kao što su wellness zonar, kazalište, sportski tereni, bazen, isplovio je 23. prosinca iz Auckalanda na Novom Zelandu.

Bilo je predviđeno uplovljavanje u Christchurch i Dunedin na Novom Zelandu te u Hobart, glavni grad australske države Tasmanije te u Melbourne.

Umjesto toga Viking Orion stajao je blokiran dok su ronioci obavljali posao na otvorenom moru najbliže australskom gradu Adelaide.

"Iako je brod propustio nekoliko turističkih posjeta na putu zbog čišćenja, nastavit će put", objavila je kompanija Viking i kazala da će korisnici biti obeštećeni.
