Philippe Poupon, francuski jedriličar koji je osvojio regatu Route du Rhum 1986. godine, snima film sa svojom suprugom redateljicom Géraldine Danon, o čuvenoj jedriličarki Florence Arthaud, jednoj od prvih žena koja je izborila visoko mjesto u svijetu jedrenja.

Florence je 1990. preplovila Atlantik u rekordnom vremenu kao samac sa svojim trimaranom Pierre I. za 9 dana, 21 sat i 42 minute, nadmašivši tako za više od dan i pol rekord u preplovljavanju tog oceana za samce koji je držao Bruno Peyron od kolovoza 1987. godine.

Supružnici su fokusirani na dovršetak filma čija se premijera očekuje krajem ove godine. Na osebujan način najavio ju je Philippe koji je sudjelovao u prošlogodišnjoj regati Route du Rhum jedreći na istom trimaranu na kojem je jedrila Florence i na taj način joj odao počast.

Philippe i Geraldine su pak bili jako bliski prijatelji s Florence koja je nažalost poginula u u sudaru helikoptera u Argentini 2015. godine kada je poginulo osam francuskih državljana, sudionika reality showa ‘Izbačeni‘.

Priča o Florence i njenom trimaranu je vrlo zanimljiva. Kako piše yachtingworld.com brod je 1989. godine napravila firma Jeanneau Techniques Avancées, duljine 60 stopa što je bila svojevrsna revolucija u svijetu višetrupaca koji su do tada imali do 40 stopa.

Proizvođač je odlučio unaprijediti brod, pa je novom modelu dodao još 20 stopa kako bi bio snažniji od oceanskih trimarana prethodnih generacija. Tada se zvao Pierre 1er, a bio je dizajniran upravo za Florence, moćan za to vrijeme, napravljen od stakloplastike i kevlara.

Pobjeda Florence u velikoj regati kao što je Route du Rhum bila je vrlo zapažena. Time je ona nadahnula novu generaciju mladih žena da krenu njezinim stopama. Prije regate, Florence je imala prometnu nesreću zbog koje je bila u komi, no oporavila se i krenula dalje.

Godinama nakon te regate, brod je mijenjao vlasnike nastavljajući s offshore natjecanjima. Američki milijarder i pustolov Steve Fossett, koji je brod preimenovao u Lakota, postao je njezin drugi vlasnik 1993. godine. Osvojio je 5. mjesto na utrci Route du Rhum 1994., unatoč nedostatku iskustva u to vrijeme. Potom je brod mijenjao vlasnike, a svojedobno se i iznajmljivao u čarteru. Na koncu, kupio ga je jedan privatnik koji ga je ustupio Philippe i njegovoj supruzi.

Kada je Philippe vozio trimaran prema Mediteranu, napali su ga naoružani pirati u blizini obale Jemena, pa su na jarbolu vidljivi tragovi od metaka. Srećim, sve je dobro prošlo i brod je sada na sigurnom u luci nedaleko otoka Île Sainte Marguerite, gdje je rasut Florencin pepeo.

Prema najavama, film o čuvenoj jedriličarki i legendarnom trimaranu trebao bi imati premijeru u rujnu ove godine.

Philippe Poupon, francuski jedriličar koji je osvojio regatu Route du Rhum 1986. godine, snima film sa svojom suprugom redateljicom Géraldine Danon, o čuvenoj jedriličarki Florence Arthaud, jednoj od prvih žena koja je izborila visoko mjesto u svijetu jedrenja.

Florence je 1990. preplovila Atlantik u rekordnom vremenu kao samac sa svojim trimaranom Pierre I. za 9 dana, 21 sat i 42 minute, nadmašivši tako za više od dan i pol rekord u preplovljavanju tog oceana za samce koji je držao Bruno Peyron od kolovoza 1987. godine.

Supružnici su fokusirani na dovršetak filma čija se premijera očekuje krajem ove godine. Na osebujan način najavio ju je Philippe koji je sudjelovao u prošlogodišnjoj regati Route du Rhum jedreći na istom trimaranu na kojem je jedrila Florence i na taj način joj odao počast.

Philippe i Geraldine su pak bili jako bliski prijatelji s Florence koja je nažalost poginula u u sudaru helikoptera u Argentini 2015. godine kada je poginulo osam francuskih državljana, sudionika reality showa ‘Izbačeni‘.

Priča o Florence i njenom trimaranu je vrlo zanimljiva. Kako piše yachtingworld.com brod je 1989. godine napravila firma Jeanneau Techniques Avancées, duljine 60 stopa što je bila svojevrsna revolucija u svijetu višetrupaca koji su do tada imali do 40 stopa.

Proizvođač je odlučio unaprijediti brod, pa je novom modelu dodao još 20 stopa kako bi bio snažniji od oceanskih trimarana prethodnih generacija. Tada se zvao Pierre 1er, a bio je dizajniran upravo za Florence, moćan za to vrijeme, napravljen od stakloplastike i kevlara.

Pobjeda Florence u velikoj regati kao što je Route du Rhum bila je vrlo zapažena. Time je ona nadahnula novu generaciju mladih žena da krenu njezinim stopama. Prije regate, Florence je imala prometnu nesreću zbog koje je bila u komi, no oporavila se i krenula dalje.

Godinama nakon te regate, brod je mijenjao vlasnike nastavljajući s offshore natjecanjima. Američki milijarder i pustolov Steve Fossett, koji je brod preimenovao u Lakota, postao je njezin drugi vlasnik 1993. godine. Osvojio je 5. mjesto na utrci Route du Rhum 1994., unatoč nedostatku iskustva u to vrijeme. Potom je brod mijenjao vlasnike, a svojedobno se i iznajmljivao u čarteru. Na koncu, kupio ga je jedan privatnik koji ga je ustupio Philippe i njegovoj supruzi.

Kada je Philippe vozio trimaran prema Mediteranu, napali su ga naoružani pirati u blizini obale Jemena, pa su na jarbolu vidljivi tragovi od metaka. Srećim, sve je dobro prošlo i brod je sada na sigurnom u luci nedaleko otoka Île Sainte Marguerite, gdje je rasut Florencin pepeo.

Prema najavama, film o čuvenoj jedriličarki i legendarnom trimaranu trebao bi imati premijeru u rujnu ove godine.
