Sjajna priča stiže nam iz Nizozemske. Naime, lokalni drvodjelac Johan Huibers odlučio je (i uspio u tome!) sagraditi dva broda - replike Noine arke.

Počeci nevjerojatnog projekta sežu u 1992. godinu, kada je počeo istraživati ​​Noinu Arku s idejom da je "rekreira". Nakon što je većinu vremena posvetio čitanju Biblije i proučavanju priručnika, konačno je iznjedrio projekt izgradnje autentične "replike" Noine arke. Između 2005. i 2007. Huibers je, uz povremenu pomoć svog sina i uz korištenje modernih alata, izgradio prvu verziju Arke u riječnoj luci Schagen, 50 kilometara sjeverno od Amsterdama. Arka je dugačka 70 metara, široka 9,5 metara i visoka 13 metara, a veličine je zapravo idealna za plovidbu nizozemskim kanalima i prevodnicama.

Unutrašnjost Arke dizajnirana je u drvu bora, dok je izvana presvučena kanadskim crvenim cedrom. Sama izgradnja je koštala milijun eura, a 2007. otvorio je vrata posjetiteljima.

Od 2008. do 2013. završio je veći projekt, nazvan Johanov luk. Novo plovilo dugačko je 119 metara, široko 30 metara i visoko 23 metra. Procjenjuje se da mu je za ovaj ambiciozni projekt bilo potrebno oko 12.000 stabala, dok su troškovi izgradnje premašili četiri milijuna eura.

Drvena konstrukcija počiva na skrivenoj plutajućoj čeličnoj platformi sastavljenoj od 21 LASH teglenice. Arku mogu vući tegljači po rijekama, ali nije pogodna za plovidbu. Za prelazak otvorenog mora, naime, trebala bi se prevoziti pontonom ili transportnim brodom.

Sjajna priča stiže nam iz Nizozemske. Naime, lokalni drvodjelac Johan Huibers odlučio je (i uspio u tome!) sagraditi dva broda - replike Noine arke.

Počeci nevjerojatnog projekta sežu u 1992. godinu, kada je počeo istraživati ​​Noinu Arku s idejom da je "rekreira". Nakon što je većinu vremena posvetio čitanju Biblije i proučavanju priručnika, konačno je iznjedrio projekt izgradnje autentične "replike" Noine arke. Između 2005. i 2007. Huibers je, uz povremenu pomoć svog sina i uz korištenje modernih alata, izgradio prvu verziju Arke u riječnoj luci Schagen, 50 kilometara sjeverno od Amsterdama. Arka je dugačka 70 metara, široka 9,5 metara i visoka 13 metara, a veličine je zapravo idealna za plovidbu nizozemskim kanalima i prevodnicama.

Unutrašnjost Arke dizajnirana je u drvu bora, dok je izvana presvučena kanadskim crvenim cedrom. Sama izgradnja je koštala milijun eura, a 2007. otvorio je vrata posjetiteljima.

Od 2008. do 2013. završio je veći projekt, nazvan Johanov luk. Novo plovilo dugačko je 119 metara, široko 30 metara i visoko 23 metra. Procjenjuje se da mu je za ovaj ambiciozni projekt bilo potrebno oko 12.000 stabala, dok su troškovi izgradnje premašili četiri milijuna eura.

Drvena konstrukcija počiva na skrivenoj plutajućoj čeličnoj platformi sastavljenoj od 21 LASH teglenice. Arku mogu vući tegljači po rijekama, ali nije pogodna za plovidbu. Za prelazak otvorenog mora, naime, trebala bi se prevoziti pontonom ili transportnim brodom.
