Povodom Svjetskog dana oceana WWF Adria upozorila je na važnost očuvanja tog vrijednog prirodnog resursa, a diljem svijeta održane su akcije čišćenja podmorja.

- Konačno se posljedicama nezbrinute plastike počinje pridavati pozornost koju zaslužuje. U WWF-u, svjetskoj organizaciji za zaštitu prirode, fokusirali smo se na dio ovog otpada čiji se utjecaj manje vidi i razumije, naglasili su iz organizacije upozorivši kako zaostali ribolovni alat ugrožava morske organizme.

Radi se o zaostalom ili izgubljenom ribolovnom alatu koji je najsmrtonosniji oblik morske plastike jer nastavlja neselektivno hvatati ribe, zapletati morske sisavce, ptice, kornjače i morske pse.

- Tako ih izlaže sporoj i bolnoj smrti iscrpljivanjem i gušenjem, rekao je Fabijan Peronja iz WWF Adrije.

WWF Adria kroz projekt Ghost Gear (zaostali ribolovni alat) nastoji odgovoriti na ovaj izazov.

Provedeno mapiranje Jadrana ukazuje kako ovo nije samo globalni, već i nacionalni izazov jer je morsko dno uvelike prekriveno izgubljenim alatima što znatno doprinosi degradaciji morskog staništa i gubitku bioraznolikosti, upozoravaju u priopćenju.

- Zaostali ribolovni alat smrtonosan je za čak 66 posto morskih sisavaca i 50 posto morskih ptica, a 90 posto riba koje se u njega zapletu i uginu ima i komercijalnu vrijednost.

Edukacija i osvještavanje ribara, ali i šire javnosti, ključni su za prevenciju odlaganja novog ribljeg alata na dnu mora. Želimo osigurati da se ribarski alati pravilno koriste, održavaju i zbrinjavaju kako bi se smanjio gubitak opreme, naglasio je Peronja.

Povodom Svjetskog dana oceana WWF Adria upozorila je na važnost očuvanja tog vrijednog prirodnog resursa, a diljem svijeta održane su akcije čišćenja podmorja.

- Konačno se posljedicama nezbrinute plastike počinje pridavati pozornost koju zaslužuje. U WWF-u, svjetskoj organizaciji za zaštitu prirode, fokusirali smo se na dio ovog otpada čiji se utjecaj manje vidi i razumije, naglasili su iz organizacije upozorivši kako zaostali ribolovni alat ugrožava morske organizme.

Radi se o zaostalom ili izgubljenom ribolovnom alatu koji je najsmrtonosniji oblik morske plastike jer nastavlja neselektivno hvatati ribe, zapletati morske sisavce, ptice, kornjače i morske pse.

- Tako ih izlaže sporoj i bolnoj smrti iscrpljivanjem i gušenjem, rekao je Fabijan Peronja iz WWF Adrije.

WWF Adria kroz projekt Ghost Gear (zaostali ribolovni alat) nastoji odgovoriti na ovaj izazov.

Provedeno mapiranje Jadrana ukazuje kako ovo nije samo globalni, već i nacionalni izazov jer je morsko dno uvelike prekriveno izgubljenim alatima što znatno doprinosi degradaciji morskog staništa i gubitku bioraznolikosti, upozoravaju u priopćenju.

Svjetski dan oceanaWWF Adria: Zostali ili izgubljeni ribolovni alat najsmrtonosniji je oblik morske plastike!

Povodom Svjetskog dana oceana WWF Adria upozorila je na važnost očuvanja tog vrijednog prirodnog resursa, a diljem svijeta održane su akcije čišćenja podmorja.

- Konačno se posljedicama nezbrinute plastike počinje pridavati pozornost koju zaslužuje. U WWF-u, svjetskoj organizaciji za zaštitu prirode, fokusirali smo se na dio ovog otpada čiji se utjecaj manje vidi i razumije, naglasili su iz organizacije upozorivši kako zaostali ribolovni alat ugrožava morske organizme.

Radi se o zaostalom ili izgubljenom ribolovnom alatu koji je najsmrtonosniji oblik morske plastike jer nastavlja neselektivno hvatati ribe, zapletati morske sisavce, ptice, kornjače i morske pse.

- Tako ih izlaže sporoj i bolnoj smrti iscrpljivanjem i gušenjem, rekao je Fabijan Peronja iz WWF Adrije.

WWF Adria kroz projekt Ghost Gear (zaostali ribolovni alat) nastoji odgovoriti na ovaj izazov.

Provedeno mapiranje Jadrana ukazuje kako ovo nije samo globalni, već i nacionalni izazov jer je morsko dno uvelike prekriveno izgubljenim alatima što znatno doprinosi degradaciji morskog staništa i gubitku bioraznolikosti, upozoravaju u priopćenju.
