Indija je detektirala novu "dvostruko mutiranu varijantu" koronavirusa, objavilo je u srijedu indijsko ministarstvo zdravlja, koje je istodobno prijavilo rekordan dnevni broj novozaraženih i umrlih od covida-19 ove godine.
Genetičko sekvenciranje i analize uzoraka iz države Maharashtre utvrdili su mutacije virusa koje ne odgovaraju dosada katalogiziranim "varijantama koje izazivaju zabrinutost", navodi se u priopćenju.
Maharashtra je jedna od zarazom najteže pogođenih indijskih država.
"Premda su varijante koje izazivaju zabrinutost i nova dvostruko mutirana varijanta pronađene u Indiji, nisu detektirane u brojkama koje bi bile dovoljne da se utvrdi ili izravan odnos ili objasni brzo povećanje slučajeva u nekim državama", navodi se u priopćenju.
Indija je već prijavila nekoliko slučajeva britanske varijante virusa, kao i varijanata iz Južnoafričke Republike i Brazila.
Indija je u srijedu prijavila 47.262 novozaraženih u zadnja 24 sata, najviše od početka studenoga, čime je ukupan broj zaraženih porastao na 11,7 milijuna. SAD i Brazili jedini imaju više zaraženih.
Broj umrlih u zadnja 24 sat iznosi 275, najviše ove godine na dnevnoj bazi. Ukupan broj umrlih iznosi 160.441, po vladinim podacima.
Nekoliko država zabranilo je velika javna okupljanja pred proslavu hinduističkog festivala Holi ovaj vikend.
Vlada je odlučila proširiti kampanju cijepljenja i obuhvatiti sve starije od 45, pozivajući ljude da se cijepe.
U međuvremenu, ruski stručnjaci izdvojili su novu verziju južnoafričke varijante virusa, prenosi ruska državna novinska agencija Sputnjik.
Varijantu su izdvojili stručnjaci Državnog znanstvenog centra za virologiju i biotehnologiju.
Sekvenciranje genoma pokazalo je, osim mutacija koje su karakteristične za južnoafričku varijantu, prisustvo dvije dodatne delecije u genima ORF1ab i S, navodi se u priopćenju savezne agencije za prava potrošača Rospotrebnadzor.

Indija je detektirala novu "dvostruko mutiranu varijantu" koronavirusa, objavilo je u srijedu indijsko ministarstvo zdravlja, koje je istodobno prijavilo rekordan dnevni broj novozaraženih i umrlih od covida-19 ove godine.
Genetičko sekvenciranje i analize uzoraka iz države Maharashtre utvrdili su mutacije virusa koje ne odgovaraju dosada katalogiziranim "varijantama koje izazivaju zabrinutost", navodi se u priopćenju.
Maharashtra je jedna od zarazom najteže pogođenih indijskih država.
"Premda su varijante koje izazivaju zabrinutost i nova dvostruko mutirana varijanta pronađene u Indiji, nisu detektirane u brojkama koje bi bile dovoljne da se utvrdi ili izravan odnos ili objasni brzo povećanje slučajeva u nekim državama", navodi se u priopćenju.
Indija je već prijavila nekoliko slučajeva britanske varijante virusa, kao i varijanata iz Južnoafričke Republike i Brazila.
Indija je u srijedu prijavila 47.262 novozaraženih u zadnja 24 sata, najviše od početka studenoga, čime je ukupan broj zaraženih porastao na 11,7 milijuna. SAD i Brazili jedini imaju više zaraženih.
Broj umrlih u zadnja 24 sat iznosi 275, najviše ove godine na dnevnoj bazi. Ukupan broj umrlih iznosi 160.441, po vladinim podacima.
Nekoliko država zabranilo je velika javna okupljanja pred proslavu hinduističkog festivala Holi ovaj vikend.
Vlada je odlučila proširiti kampanju cijepljenja i obuhvatiti sve starije od 45, pozivajući ljude da se cijepe.
U međuvremenu, ruski stručnjaci izdvojili su novu verziju južnoafričke varijante virusa, prenosi ruska državna novinska agencija Sputnjik.
Varijantu su izdvojili stručnjaci Državnog znanstvenog centra za virologiju i biotehnologiju.
Sekvenciranje genoma pokazalo je, osim mutacija koje su karakteristične za južnoafričku varijantu, prisustvo dvije dodatne delecije u genima ORF1ab i S, navodi se u priopćenju savezne agencije za prava potrošača Rospotrebnadzor.
