Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru su ključni za postizanje ciljeva Zelenog plana, no treba uzeti u obzir da postrojenja kao što su priobalne vjetroelektrane mogu negativno utjecati na ribarstvo i akvakulturu, upozorilil su europarlamentarci na ovotjednoj plenarnoj sjednici u Strasbourgu. 

Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru bi trebali imati ključnu ulogu u realizaciji ciljeva Europskog zelenog plana i europskog zakona o klimi, no Europski parlament (EP) je u rezoluciji naglasio da će energija iz obnovljivih izvora na moru biti održiva samo ako ne postoje negativne posljedice za okoliš.

U raspravi i izvješću o utjecaju priobalnih vjetroelektrana na sektor ribarstva, koju je EP usvojeio s 512 glasova za, 21 protiv i 159 suzdržanih, upozorava se da vjetroelektrane na moru mogu ugroziti morski ekosustav.

EP poziva Komisiju da ocijeni učinak energije iz priobalnih obnovljivih izvora da bi se proučili gospodarski, socijalni i okolišni utjecaji izgradnje priobalnih vjetroelektrana na područjima gdje bi vjerojatno došlo do ugrožavanja ribarstva i održivosti morskog života.

Izvjestitelj i potpredsjednik Odbora za ribarstvo EP-a (PECH) Peter van Dalen napomenuo je da izgradnja priobalnih vjetroelektrana podrazumijeva različite rizike za očuvanje bioraznolikosti.

‘’Kada bušimo morsko dno, stvaramo veliko onečišćenje bukom, sličnog intenziteta kao da vam zrakoplov leti iznad glave, što utječe na riblje stokove. Razvijaju se i elektromagnetska polja koja ugrožavaju život u moru. Postoji mnogo pitanja na koja još ne znamo odgovoriti’’, kazao je Dalen.

U izvješću je naglašeno da bi temelji priobalnih vjetroelektrana mogli privući morski život i djelovati kao umjetni greben, no parlament poručuje da je potrebno nastaviti s istraživanjima i inovacijama.

Drugi priobalni obnovljivi izvori energije mogli bi biti prikladniji za neka područja te manje utjecati na morsku bioraznolikost, stoji u izvješću. 

Tehnologija koja koristi valove te plimu i oseku, termalna tehnologija, plutajuća fotonaponska postrojenja i upotreba algi za proizvodnju biogoriva primjeri su takvih izvora energije.

Trenutačno, međutim, ne postoje funkcionalna postrojenja koja se koriste tim tehnologijama, napominje se u izvješću.

Ključno je osigurati da se priobalne vjetroelektrane grade samo ako se primijeni integrirani pristup procesima njihovog životnog ciklusa, što znači da od početka treba definirati ‘’kako se priobalne vjetroturbine mogu projektirati, graditi, upotrebljavati, stavljati izvan pogona i reciklirati na održiv način’’, istaknuto je u izvješću.

Za korištenje energije mora, uz istovremeno jamčenje zaštite okoliša i održivog razvoja ribarstva, potrebno je zajedničko planiranje i stroga procjena socioekonomskih učinaka, smatraju eurozastupnici.

Plutajuće priobalne vjetroturbine ‘’otvaraju prilike za postavljanje postrojenja na područja dubokog mora i na većoj udaljenosti od obale, što omogućuje (...) manje potencijalno prostorno preklapanje s ribolovnim područjima’’, piše u izvješću.

Parlament se zalaže za poboljšanje prekogranične suradnje u prostornom planiranju morskog područja, osobito s Ujedinjenim Kraljevstvom, najvećim europskim proizvođačem energije iz priobalnih vjetroelektrana, kako bi članice EU-a riješile zajedničke probleme i učile na najboljem primjeru.

Eurozastupnici su u lipnju potvrdili dogovor institucija EU-a za postizanje klimatski neutralne Europske unije do 2050. i smanjenje emisije stakleničkih plinova za najmanje 55 posto do 2030.

Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru su ključni za postizanje ciljeva Zelenog plana, no treba uzeti u obzir da postrojenja kao što su priobalne vjetroelektrane mogu negativno utjecati na ribarstvo i akvakulturu, upozorilil su europarlamentarci na ovotjednoj plenarnoj sjednici u Strasbourgu. 

Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru bi trebali imati ključnu ulogu u realizaciji ciljeva Europskog zelenog plana i europskog zakona o klimi, no Europski parlament (EP) je u rezoluciji naglasio da će energija iz obnovljivih izvora na moru biti održiva samo ako ne postoje negativne posljedice za okoliš.

U raspravi i izvješću o utjecaju priobalnih vjetroelektrana na sektor ribarstva, koju je EP usvojeio s 512 glasova za, 21 protiv i 159 suzdržanih, upozorava se da vjetroelektrane na moru mogu ugroziti morski ekosustav.

EP poziva Komisiju da ocijeni učinak energije iz priobalnih obnovljivih izvora da bi se proučili gospodarski, socijalni i okolišni utjecaji izgradnje priobalnih vjetroelektrana na područjima gdje bi vjerojatno došlo do ugrožavanja ribarstva i održivosti morskog života.

Izvjestitelj i potpredsjednik Odbora za ribarstvo EP-a (PECH) Peter van Dalen napomenuo je da izgradnja priobalnih vjetroelektrana podrazumijeva različite rizike za očuvanje bioraznolikosti.

‘’Kada bušimo morsko dno, stvaramo veliko onečišćenje bukom, sličnog intenziteta kao da vam zrakoplov leti iznad glave, što utječe na riblje stokove. Razvijaju se i elektromagnetska polja koja ugrožavaju život u moru. Postoji mnogo pitanja na koja još ne znamo odgovoriti’’, kazao je Dalen.

U izvješću je naglašeno da bi temelji priobalnih vjetroelektrana mogli privući morski život i djelovati kao umjetni greben, no parlament poručuje da je potrebno nastaviti s istraživanjima i inovacijama.

Drugi priobalni obnovljivi izvori energije mogli bi biti prikladniji za neka područja te manje utjecati na morsku bioraznolikost, stoji u izvješću. 

Tehnologija koja koristi valove te plimu i oseku, termalna tehnologija, plutajuća fotonaponska postrojenja i upotreba algi za proizvodnju biogoriva primjeri su takvih izvora energije.

Trenutačno, međutim, ne postoje funkcionalna postrojenja koja se koriste tim tehnologijama, napominje se u izvješću.

Ključno je osigurati da se priobalne vjetroelektrane grade samo ako se primijeni integrirani pristup procesima njihovog životnog ciklusa, što znači da od početka treba definirati ‘’kako se priobalne vjetroturbine mogu projektirati, graditi, upotrebljavati, stavljati izvan pogona i reciklirati na održiv način’’, istaknuto je u izvješću.

Za korištenje energije mora, uz istovremeno jamčenje zaštite okoliša i održivog razvoja ribarstva, potrebno je zajedničko planiranje i stroga procjena socioekonomskih učinaka, smatraju eurozastupnici.

Plutajuće priobalne vjetroturbine ‘’otvaraju prilike za postavljanje postrojenja na područja dubokog mora i na većoj udaljenosti od obale, što omogućuje (...) manje potencijalno prostorno preklapanje s ribolovnim područjima’’, piše u izvješću.

Parlament se zalaže za poboljšanje prekogranične suradnje u prostornom planiranju morskog područja, osobito s Ujedinjenim Kraljevstvom, najvećim europskim proizvođačem energije iz priobalnih vjetroelektrana, kako bi članice EU-a riješile zajedničke probleme i učile na najboljem primjeru.

Eurozastupnici su u lipnju potvrdili dogovor institucija EU-a za postizanje klimatski neutralne Europske unije do 2050. i smanjenje emisije stakleničkih plinova za najmanje 55 posto do 2030.

Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru su ključni za postizanje ciljeva Zelenog plana, no treba uzeti u obzir da postrojenja kao što su priobalne vjetroelektrane mogu negativno utjecati na ribarstvo i akvakulturu, upozorilil su europarlamentarci na ovotjednoj plenarnoj sjednici u Strasbourgu. 

Obnovljivi izvori energije na moru bi trebali imati ključnu ulogu u realizaciji ciljeva Europskog zelenog plana i europskog zakona o klimi, no Europski parlament (EP) je u rezoluciji naglasio da će energija iz obnovljivih izvora na moru biti održiva samo ako ne postoje negativne posljedice za okoliš.

U raspravi i izvješću o utjecaju priobalnih vjetroelektrana na sektor ribarstva, koju je EP usvojeio s 512 glasova za, 21 protiv i 159 suzdržanih, upozorava se da vjetroelektrane na moru mogu ugroziti morski ekosustav.

EP poziva Komisiju da ocijeni učinak energije iz priobalnih obnovljivih izvora da bi se proučili gospodarski, socijalni i okolišni utjecaji izgradnje priobalnih vjetroelektrana na područjima gdje bi vjerojatno došlo do ugrožavanja ribarstva i održivosti morskog života.

Izvjestitelj i potpredsjednik Odbora za ribarstvo EP-a (PECH) Peter van Dalen napomenuo je da izgradnja priobalnih vjetroelektrana podrazumijeva različite rizike za očuvanje bioraznolikosti.

‘’Kada bušimo morsko dno, stvaramo veliko onečišćenje bukom, sličnog intenziteta kao da vam zrakoplov leti iznad glave, što utječe na riblje stokove. Razvijaju se i elektromagnetska polja koja ugrožavaju život u moru. Postoji mnogo pitanja na koja još ne znamo odgovoriti’’, kazao je Dalen.
